Daniel was a great host, who several times went beyond what was expected of him and was always super friendly.
The place was exactly what I was looking for, a comfortable room to crash at night after spending a whole day walking in beautiful NY, but without breaking my budget. The bed was awesome.
The location is great, half a block away from the subway and on a neighborhood that even though is not the hippest, is lovely and full of character. Not for the tourist-trap loving crowd, but if you appreciate exploring off the beaten path, you'll love it.
Very very very nice experience! When you step in to the room like step into anther tidy 'world'. Full of little staffs but really neat. And bathroom really clean tidy. Near to subway station also. Highly recommended. :)
The Bad was really cozy. Apartment is good to reach from president street. Daniel was very friendly. Unfortunately I had only 1,5 days in NYC. The only negativ thing was the internet/Wifi Connection was not this reliable I'm used from Germany.
Hey there, the wifi is usually quite strong so it may have been a simple reset of the router needed to get it back to speed. Next time, just let me know if its slow and I'll gladly reset the router and fix it for you. :)
Daniel made my trip very comfortable. He was flexible with my arrival time (even last minute), and we chatted for a bit. He was very welcoming into his space and the city. He really designed the space to be comfortable for Airbnb guests. There are maps and labels all over the apartment to answer our most common questions. He offered everything someone might need, and more (including slippers!) He also had many great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. He even offered me his membership pass for the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens (which is definitely worth going to!) I would recommend him to others, and would love to stay again next time I'm in NY.
This place was great - everything was as pictured and expected based on listing. Daniel was super nice - we had great conversation when he checked me in - and there are two sweet cats who I met as well.
This is my kind of place - quirky with lots of character - and Daniel has little signs and explicit directions for everything so there are no questions about anything (though he is certainly available to answer any)
Parking in the back! Very rare.
Wifi is good - washer & dryer available - lots of NYC maps and travel books for tourists, subway station down the street, bodegas and restaurants around the corner - no complaints!
I would stay in any of Daniel's rooms in the future. Thanks!
Daniel was a lovely host. He was flexible with our check in and offered tips on the neighborhood and trains. The room was very clean and everything was perfect.
Everything was effortless staying with Daniel.
Location: Perfect! So close to the subway. We were able to use the 5 line the entire home so commuting back and forth was easy. The neighborhood was safe and clean.
Daniel's Home: It was a creative and visually appealing home to explore. Our room was cozy and quiet. Laundry was free! His kitchen and bathroom has all the amenities you could want. We were able to park our car in a gated driveway.
Daniel was a kind person who was easy to talk to. His adorable cats were an added bonus!
I totally agree with all the positive reviews. It was great staying at Daniels place. It is exactly as described and Daniel is such a great and welcoming host. He helped me out any time I had questions and over that he also was very nice to chat with.
The apartment is very clean and I felt completely safe at this area (I did walk around by myself - by day and night - and I had no trouble doing so). So if you're looking for an affordable place close to Manhattan and the sub I highly recommend it.
Daniel is a super nice and relaxed host, who helped us wherever he could. We also liked his perfectly located apartment a lot :) thank you! Simon and Joana
Daniel couldn't be more welcoming, helpful, nice and gracious.
Daniel told me that he does airbnb too, but he has to be in my area for a few days. Being a great host (out of curiosity I read later from reviews on his page) he knows how exactly be a great guest! He always welcome back! Social, easygoing, respectful, simply just a very positive person. Understood house rules right away and was very clean. From a host I am even looking forward to become his friend and occasionally have a cup of tea.
