This lovely house with the charming Granny flat is located in an area ouf outstanding beauty and has got a big, sunny garden with views to the sea.
Staying there has been absolutely lovely and Tara cared for us very well and even showed us the way to her `private´ little shelly beach! We´ll definetively come back there next time we´re in Ireland!
Thank you so much!!
It was such a lovely apartment with a really nice view. Tara was very helpful by e-mail and phone. She left us a map to the near beach. We visted small towns nearby and walked around at Mizens head and Sheepshead, which was truly beautiful. We would definitely rent the house again when we pay Ireland another visit.
We really enjoyed our stay in Ballydehob in August 2010. It is such a lovely piece of earth, a beautiful modern eco-house with all facilities you need. If you love a quiet place with lots of nature around you, then it is the right location to enjoy. We were only in the smaller part of the house, the granny-flat which was very clean, tidy and just perfect for a couple like us. Thanks to Tara and Margrete for the great hospitality!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ballydehob, though we didn't actually meet Tara, or stay in the main house.
Due to a late booking, we were in the granny flat, which has one room downstairs with an attic bedroom up a ladder above.
The flat was clean & simple & very quiet. The bed was comfortable, with lovely linen & the water was hot. The cooking facilities were simple but adequate.
The view is wonderful & Ballydehob is a great village in a fabulous corner of Ireland. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Tara's. The only reason for 4 not 5 stars is that I'm not sure the price should have been the same for a stay in the granny flat as for the whole house - but as I mentioned, it was a very late booking.
P.S. Cosmo was great company.
Tara spent a few days here on Phillip Island, relaxing and enjoying the beach and catching up on rest. I was very happy to host her. She is easy-going and self-sufficient. I was delighted to find she had left a few little presents in the bungalow for my next guests - including insect repellant and Lonely Planet guide to Australia! Much appreciated :)
I was looking forward to meeting Tara because of her connection with dance and working with dancers with disabilities - such a wonderful thing. Unfortunately she was really unhappy with the hostel and I wish I could have changed it for her. So many people enjoy the hostel as it is but for some reason she was really disappointed. We work hard to make it good for people who pay just $35 and we are always working to improve things.
