I am an archaeologist and work for an environmental consulting firm. Through some very creative design the house is in the middle of an urban environment but looks and feels like a mini vacation resort in Mexico. I look forward to having you stay!

We came for a week long vacation. We had a blast riding our bikes around the city & shoreline. Rachael's place was great, we slept really well. The facilities were really nice & we enjoyed cooking almost every night. Bus stop helped a couple of times when we were not up to riding our bikes home at night. All in all a really great place to stay, highly recommend it & we maybe back!
Rachael is a superhost indeed who has created a beautiful, relaxing backyard living space in an urban neighborhood. The trailer was clean and in perfect condition. I liked the simple, classy wooden interior. The table with lamp immediately outside was great for eating al fresco. The bathroom was amazingly dramatic with a powerful shower. The long-term residents were friendly quiet, and respectful. Definitely one of the best airbnb's around.
I stayed in Bungalow for 3 weeks. It's an awesome little space. Although it's a small room, it is so intelligently designed to fit many of your personal belongings. I think the photos of the room make it look smaller than it actually is/feels once you're in there. Anyway, you don't feel cramped. It's super cozy and the bed is heavenly. Love the flat screen smart TV. Apart from the room, the rest of the living area is also intelligently designed. I love the kitchen cantina, made myself many delicious meals there, as it is fully equipped. It's a beautiful, colorful, chilled out space that makes you happy as soon as you enter. Rachel is just great too. She's kind, respectful of your space, and always just a text or phone call away if you need her. Stay here, you won't regret it!
Pleasant stay at a pleasant space. I was only here three nights and working long hours so didn't get a chance to take advantage of the charming outdoor kitchen facilities. Convenient to access freeway (I15) and close to North Park and restaurants/bars in an area with character. Worked well for me as a transition space between apartments. The bathroom is separate from the room, but this was not an inconvenience. At $54/nt this was a good value.
Thank you Rachael, for the clean, cozy, and hip nest. The space is even nicer than the photos portray, and the neighbourhood is serviced frequently by transit buses to and fro downtown. Rachael ensured I was settled comfortably upon my arrival (even though I was a day late), and made me feel welcome to knock on the main house door if I had any questions or concerns. I didn't!
The trailers are brilliant and the bed was super comfy. The outdoor shower is lovely and the outdoor communal kitchen is great. I highly recommend a stay here, it's unique and cool, Rachael and the other guests were super friendly and easy going. Loved it.
Rachel's place was really, really awesome. Trailer was nice and cozy, great place to sleep after a long day of classes at my conference. The common areas were beautiful and functional and the location was just close enough to everywhere I needed to go in San Diego. Would definitely stay again!
Nothing short of fabulous!
Everything was even better than expected!
She called to greet me and was so courteous!!!
Will def stay there again :-)))
I picked this place mostly because of location, (my brother, who I was visiting, lives a 10 minute walk away, near Kensington/Normal Heights) but also because I was looking for an off-the-beaten-path, non-hotel experience for my time in San Diego. The detached bungalow definitely met my expectations all the way!
Some particulars--the bed is very spacious and comfy. You could definitely fit two. You have access to storage in two fridges during your stay. The room has a small bedside table as well as a collapsible wall table, which I used to organize my travel stuff (about a weeks worth).
The cantina and outside shower were definitely a plus, but I believe there's an indoor shower in the bathroom that's for use of the guests as well if you don't feel comfortable with the open ceiling. The other folks staying in the two rooms in the cantina were both pleasant and also helped show me around when I flew in.
The instructions for check-in left by Rachael were excellent and I got in without a hitch. You can also tell her particular attention for the property and how much thought when into making it a cool, relaxing space.
The area itself is very bikeable, if you can manage to take non-main streets to your destination. There are pedestrian bridges around too if you're into walking and need to cross the freeway. The area has lots of great taco shops, a few awesome bars, and parks all within walking distance. I highly recommend visiting this spot!
Amazing property that made us feel like we were back in Mexico! Lots of outdoor space, I would definitely stay there again.
Rachael and her friend were excellent guests. They left the place very clean and we would happy to have them as guests again any time. It was cool to get some feedback and suggestions from a fellow host too. Thanks guys!
Rachael came with friends and they were all most respectful and interesting. They are most welcome back!
