I appreciate your candor and I must apologize for the broken Pyrex dish in the kitchen. That was a simple accident while cooking and please deduct the cost of that from our security deposit.
We had a wonderful stay at your beautiful home but I must contend the portion of your review that states “and the house rules were not entirely followed.” I read the House Rules stated on your AirBnB listing numerous times, shared them with all of my guests and also made sure all guests abided by them. Your statement alleges that we did not abide by your House Rules, which is simply not true.
You have brought to my attention that you also had a house manual that was printed and in the home. Apparently this printed manual had other, more specific guidelines for guests to follow. I was never made aware of such manual, never instructed to read it when we arrived and thusly never had any idea about additional guidelines that you wanted us to follow. It is not fair to use these guidelines interchangeably as “House Rules” and to make the claim “and the house rules were not entirely followed” when we never even had a chance to understand them fully.
