I am an Academic and my research field is Iconology and Philosophy. After being brought up and educated abroad, I finally moved to the Sienese countryside, where I live with my Husband, an academic as well , 5 cats and a dog (no kids, but many friends, and friend's children around). Our house was formerly a large farmhouse, so we have plenty of space. We enjoy making the Haybarn available to people who like nature, books, art, music, good food and quiet. We offer marvellous isolation without solitude, since a very lively and interesting human and cultural context is just round the corner. Long walks, horsebackriding, yoga and cookery classes are among the pleasures of this area, as well as rejuvenating spas; both in winter and summer there is so much, concerts, parties, exhibitions, festivals, to choose that sometimes we just want to stay at home and entertain ourselves with relaxed conversation and a candle-light dinner, on the terrace overlooking the valley. The river Ambra, the evening breeze, and the crickets, provide the music.
