'incredibly careless' is an exaggeration at the very least.
I'm sorry I was late, but that was out of my control. As for the stool you brought back from Africa, my friend put his foot on it to tie his shoe and it broke. He's a small guy. It was a clean break and I offered to pay for the costs to repair it.
I'm assuming the furniture you're mentioning was the movie poster we took down. One of my friends has a history with the director and seeing the poster unsettled him. I'm sorry I forgot to put it back up.
We liked your mason jars and used a lot of them. Then we washed them out and left them in the sink-- it wasn't like we left dirty food to rot and attract flies. There was a cleaning fee included in the rental, so I didn't think to wash and put them away.
As for the body wash, I don't know anything about that. If I had to guess, one of my friends probably put water in the bottle to dilute it to make it last longer. I seriously doubt there was any malevolent intentions.
We loved the place and you were great hosts while we were there, I'm sorry that we left you feeling this way.
