WARNING TO HOSTS!
This couple left my elderly mother waiting for over 4h for their arrival at our property which is far away from her residence. They had her phone number and had been asked on numerous occasions to call or email her if they were delayed.. Failing to message her was done out on inconsideration.
When I messaged them, clearly frustrated, I got a menacing email back from the husband, threatening to cancel their Airbnb payments, and unless charges were reversed, leave a menacing review on our property.
At this point I wanted to cancel the whole reservation, but kindly decided against it as they were traveling with a small infant, and I did not want to leave them hanging without a place to stay with a baby.
My mother was very nice to them as they arrived, even though this had now taken her entire day... and they had a beautiful stay at a luxury apartment which they paid a fraction of hotel costs. This did not stop them from leaving a scathing review, as they had threatened.
I never wrote any nasty messages to Susan and Lang.. They were curt and professional and to the point. They in return threatened me with nasty reviews and payment cancelations. Our house rules also do not say that we would kick a guest out for baby crying, or anything else reasonable.. It is to ward off people from having loud parties, and truly disturbing our neighbors late at night.
From every other review on our profile, you can truly see that the only problem with our place was that we let this couple stay in our apartment. Hopefully you won't be making the same mistake.
