My other airbnb experiences have been uniformly excellent and have led to 5-star reviews and fond memories. This is the classic retaliatory review.
Our pre-review communication with Nicole was perfectly pleasant. Our only negative comment was to note that prior guests and not my wife and I were the cause of the floor's crumbs and stickiness. Upon departure, the last communication from Nicole was "Enjoy the rest of your visit and it was a pleasure hosting you!;-)"
After leaving my moderately-critical 3-star review, which complimented the apartment in several respects but apparently had the temerity to note issues mentioned in other reviews, Nicole not only left this response but (i) reported me to airbnb for harrassing her by leaving the review and (ii) threatened me with various onimous consequences if I were ever to contact her again for some reason: "Any further communication will be deemed harassment and proper actions will be made"!!! The comment about the "whole building" is even stranger, since we were quiet and had no interaction with anyone else in the building.
I hope my other airbnb experiences continue to be with hosts who elicit positive feedback by providing a good experience, rather than hysterical attempts at intimidation.
