The house was beautiful. It looked exactly as the advertising on airbnb. The host let us use the house at our convenience. The host left us a book with rules and things to do. It had many things to do such as watching tv, hot tub, grill, board games, and an indoor chimney just to relax.
The cabin was awesome! We had 9 people and there was ample space for all of us to hang out. We were a last minute booking and Rachel was very accommodating. There was a book with all the information we needed to know and she gave detailed instructions on how to get to the place. The neighborhood was charming, we mostly stayed at the house though.
Amazing little gem! Surrounded by redwoods, very private and secluded. Getting to the house is also not as bad as i thought it would be. Comfortable bedrooms and living room was great for sharing with our group and playing board games while enjoying the gas fireplace/heater. Great grill for cooking up a feast and kitchen with all the essentials you need.
Keep in mind that the layout of the place really works for no more than 4 couples. One of the cabins has 2 beds, so can fit a family of 3 or 4, but otherwise this house is best for 8 people.
Loved our stay here and would love to come back some day!
We had an amazing time, it was a perfect cabin/house to host a large group of friends. 4 couples fit perfectly in the Blue Skies Cabin and we had plenty of room to comfortably congregate and enjoy the weekend. The kitchen is huge which made communal cooking really easy and fun. It also has a ton of cooking equipment if you need it. Safeway is super close as well, so grocery shopping is a snap. There are four very private bedrooms all with their own pros/cons. The two upstairs rooms share a bathroom, but are probably the nicest rooms. The downstairs room has its own bathroom and shower, but low ceilings. The cottage across the deck is extremely private but only has 1/2 a bathroom. So all of them have pros and cons, but overall completely reasonable.
Cute and cozy place in the middle of the forest. Everything was clean, kitchen well furnished and the owners are very nice. Highly recommended.
Rachel did a phenomenal job making us feel welcome by responding promptly to the messages and questions. I chose the house to celebrate "Friendsgiving" we me and a few close friends. We made the mistake of arriving in the evening due to our schedule and the journey was a bit intimidating but once we arrived, it all made sense. The home is beautiful and spacious, hidden among redwood trees in Guerneville. Four couples definitely fit comfortably as well as one single person because one room has a bunk bed set up. The pictures make the home seem like it's right on the river but it actually is not. Although it is a quick walk down the hill on the small residential road and you are at the rivers edge! Loved the home, loved the location. Will definitely be staying again!
This house is perfect ! I had this weird feeling to be at home as soon as I opened the door. We were two families with children. There are some legos, trains, pencils, board games.... The deck is safe and secured by a gate and the hot tub was a hit !
The location is great : in the woods but super close to the river and downtown Guerneville.
We really enjoyed our stay ! Thank you Rachel !
This house was great! Beautiful scenery, amazing porches, cute rooms, and an outfitted kitchen. If I lived on the west coast I would definitely be coming back! And Rachel was very communicative. While I didn't get to meet her, she made sure I had a clear understanding of the house's amenities, provided very good directions for arriving and getting in and also good suggestions of what to do in the area. Overall a great experience!
The reservation was canceled 58 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I rented the cabin for my 30th birthday getaway weekend.
Myself and my guests all loved it! The location is very peaceful and quiet, up in the Redwoods.
The road to get there is a little tricky, but if you follow Rachel's directions closely, you won't have a problem.
There were four of us total, so it was the perfect number of people for the amount of beds. I was aware that in the Cottage, there was one bed higher up (like a loft-type). It would comfortably sleep one person, but probably not two unless they were small. Also, the same bed has a wooden ladder leading up to it that is not secure. I'm sure it would be perfect for a kid who likes a sleeping adventure, but not for someone who doesn't do heights/has to get up in the night to use the restroom.
We especially loved the fireplace :) It does a great job heating up the living room and kitchen downstairs, as well as the upstairs for the most part.
The hot tub was a great added bonus!
Rachel was excellent in her communication, and we would definitely stay at the cabin again.
