Grazie x l'ospitalità. L. Appartamento era fantastico e l'accoglienza stupenda.
We had a very nice stay in this apartment and. Great view over the sea! We had a good welcome, that was great. In the beginning we had some small problems with the gas and questions about WIFI etc. When we called to the uncle of Anna, he arrived immediately with someone who did speak English. Then it was easier to communicate. We went to the small beach nearby and the supermarked was also close. Thanks Anna. Ciao Blomke

Glad everything worked well for you!
Our experience with the host of Via Mortara 5 was fantastic from the first inquiry to the very end of our stay. She was very quick to respond and thorough in her replies. The neighborhood was what we expected as we “Googled” the location before we left (THAT was very helpful!). Parking was tight but I think that was to be expected based upon the area. The gated driveway gave us a stronger sense of security in an unfamiliar neighborhood. Although this unit is in the flight path of the Reggio airport, it was NOT a problem. The few times planes flew over it was actually kind of neat to watch planes come in for a landing. We would all run over to the windows to watch! Speaking of windows...there were windows all over so it made it nice to get a breeze throughout the day and night and just simply 'hang out' (literally) to see the beautiful views of Reggio, Sicily, Mt. Etna and the Ionian Sea. There is an air conditioner for the hot times, too. There was plenty of space to move around for our family of 5 and everyone had their own bed. It’s good to know that the apartment is situated on the 3rd floor and the top staircase to enter is a spiral staircase after two flights of regular steps. With the exception of a microwave, the unit was fully equipped with everything we needed or wanted. They even left some fresh items in the refrigerator upon our arrival - water, milk and snacks for our children. Overall, it was a great choice for us and close to our Reggio family and we couldn't have asked for a better host!
It was great to have you and your family. Glad you made some wonderful memories!
The apartment has indeed great views, and Anna's family was very nice! But it took us over 1h and a half to find it because the map was not right and there were no other instructions... It's a nice place to stay a few days, although in a few things (toilet flush, lack of light bulbs in some lamps, no batteries on the air con...) you could feel that it hadn't been in use for a long time. But if those details are sorted and other map or instruction are provided, then I highly recommend it!
