Had a fantastic time in Austin, and Carolina was an integral part of that. The privacy and ease of use was exactly what I needed during my stay. Everything was just like described. Thank you so much!
The bed was simply amazing. I had NO problems falling right asleep.
Carolina was a good host, friendly and helpful, suggested a fantastic place to eat, Freedmen's BBQ, just a short walk away, loved the neighbourhood, it was quiet and green, about 20 min or so walk from downtown, the room was as described, spacious and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here during your visit to Austin
Carolina was extremely helpful. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. She could not have been more accommodating.
Would definitely recommend.
Carolina was very warm and welcoming but left me with plenty of privacy. The room was large and bright with a nice clean bathroom. Her home is a short distance from 6th street and many of the attractions in downtown Austin. I would definitely stay again.
A private studio with an entrance off a shared deck. Bright and cheerful. Host was very responsive and a kind person. About 15-20 minutes on foot from downtown. A very efficient experience!
The room was very comfortable. The bed was super soft with lots of pillows and ample layers to cover ourselves. The room has good ventilation and allows for natural light to come in. It has a fan, heater and an AC as well. The wi-fi works great. Carolina is a great host. She had taken care of towels, toiletries, and snacks as well. Her house is very clean and in a good, quiet location. I highly recommend her room.
The back house is a wonderful place to stay in Austin, fully recommend it to other people. The place is fully equipped so you can live "normally", make coffee, cook etc. The best bit for me was having a ipod base so I could play some music & podcasts in the room, made it very homely.
The location is about 30 minutes walk from down town which can get a bit tiring in the heat, but there is a bus route a couple of streets away & a day pass costs only $2 so that helps
I cannot rate this as circumstances turned out that I had chose to stay somewhere else instead. Unfortunately, vittles and efforts were already expended by the proprietor and I could not be refunded. I'm sure the place would have been great though going by the cozy photos and location.
The Back House was very clean and included everything I needed, including a printer from which to print my boarding pass, and q-tips. Long Horn Bikes around the corner has the most inexpensive and congenial bike rentals for quick rides to anywhere. Carolina provided simple instructions for how to get access when I arrived, and though our paths didn't cross, communication via email/SMS was prompt. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when in East Austin.
This was a beautiful, private studio within walking distance (~1 mile) of the Austin convention center and downtown.
Very cozy, and Carolina was an excellent and very accommodating host.
The room is equipped with a space heater, air conditioning, television, and printer. The decor is charming, and everything came well cleaned.
The only downside was that the WiFi signal seems to come from the main house, and was too weak to hold a steady connection. It's fine if you just need to download email or check-in for a flight, but consider bringing a cellular modem if you're a heavy Internet user. (I let Carolina know about this as I was checking out, so perhaps she'll improve it!)
In any case, I had a relaxing stay here, and would highly recommend this location to other travelers!
