Everything was absolut perfekt. Ana and Will made it for US very comfortable. Everything was clean, nice room, kitchen and bathroom to share with another guest was no problem. There was enough space for everybody.
Distance to Manhatten was absolut no problem, there were lots of subways in walking distance.
William was very kind and communicative. We didn't meet Ana. The place was exactly as described, very clean and organized. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed from Sept 19 to Sept 27 at Ana's brownstone room. The room is really nice and quiet, approx 10-15 minutes by walk to the subway to Manhattan. Ana and Will have been really kind and helpfull (when needed). We will for sure keep into consideration this room in case of another trip to NY city.

The room was comfortable and William was very kind. Everything was clean and ready for my stay. Him and Anna were very kind to receive even though I asked to stay there with short time (they didn't appeared in my Airbnb for some reason). The only thing that was no so good is that there was a problem with the timing (I had to wait for about half an hour) but everything else was great. William even "compensated" me by giving me a ride to my appointment. They are very nice people, and I totally recommend their place. I'm truly thankful.
Our stay in this beautiful brownstone room has been really good! We stayed for 2 weeks during September and luckily there was air conditioning because it was very hot...
The room is big enough to fit a double bed and a sofa-bed. Kitchen facilities were very handy to prepare some of our meals.
The hosters are great people and we really thank them for their tips & help.
William was very kind, picking me up and dropping me off at the airport. The room was comfortable and spacious. I felt safe in the neighborhood and it was close to some nice restaurants (with carry out) and grocery stores for snacks. Thanks for the nice stay.
Thank u Danielle for a quick stay , u are very gracious , god bless u Ana
William and Ana were very welcoming and left us to get on with our NY experience, offering friendly advice when asked. The room was clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, the neighbourhood quiet and it was easy to get around on the subway. Having use of a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom was great. There were a few minor problems with the plumbing and electrics.
Very pleasant and cordial. Kitchen was great!
Our family stayed in the "large spacious brownstone" 2nd floor private room/bathroom/kitchen for 5 weeks this summer, commuting into Manhattan every day. Willam and Ana have thought of a lot of details to help to make your stay comfortable.
The apartment is spacious w/ two queen beds, fresh clean sheets, several nice pillows and clean bed coverings (they put a plastic covering over the mattress, so no bed bug worries). There is a small glass table with three chairs in the room, which makes it a bit cramped, but it is better to have the table then not have it - so we appreciated it. There was also a 2 seat wicker chair, which we only used minimally. There is a LARGE walk-in closet with rods and hangers for your clothing, an iron, hairdryer, and umbrella. The room has a flat screen television. You have access to satellite as well as wi-fi. They have several maps and brochures for local attractions in the area. There is a large overhead fan and in-wall air conditioner - which was helpful both for the heat of summer (whew!) and to help dampen the noise outside and from other guests.
There are plenty of (soft!) bathing and hand towels available for the private bathroom which is down the hall. Willam offered fresh sheets/towels weekly and light cleaning of the bathroom. He didn't enter our room unless asked. You share a floor with their son but you do not share the bathroom.
The small galley kitchen has plenty of cabinet space and a large sink. It has most of what you need including silver, plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, wine opener, knives, cooking utensils, pots, baking dishes, can opener, toaster oven, coffee maker/filters, microwave, stove, fridge/freezer, mop, broom, drying rack, towels, potholder, teabags, creamer, salt, sugar packets etc. A dispenser gives cold drinking water. Make sure you don’t leave food out, though, as cockroaches are common in NYC. There were zero signs of mice.
We didn't find the neighborhood as quiet as other guests- although it may be perspective as we are from a suburban neighborhood, so we are used to things being very quiet and peaceful. There all types of shops and a large variety of diversity and culture in the neighborhood including organic breakfast cafes, coffee shops, markets. We felt safe in the apartment, as Willam is very careful about locking doors. We were cautious regarding what times of the night we walked the streets, and generally tried to get back into the area before it got too dark.
Willam and Ana were very accommodating and kind as well as attentive. They were quick to meet our needs as we communicated them. Willam acted as a taxi for us one night when we wanted to return from Lincoln Center later than were were comfortable taking public transportation back to the area. We really enjoyed them personally (their smiles are contagious!) and would definitely come back if we return to NYC.
Had a wonderful stay at Ana's place - the room was clean, well-equipped, and had A/C (a must for NYC summer!). They made me feel at ease and the place is in the perfect location.
Ana's husband, William was a very good guest. I helped him get to the rental car agency, then he would let us know when he was coming or going out. He cooked a meal for us one night, which was excellent! He stripped the sheets off on the last day, but we would have done that for him. He was a very pleasant guest and called to say how much he enjoyed his stay in Grosse Pointe.
