Hello my name is Ana I work in New York as a financial broker for HSBC. Welcome!
The host was very warming from day one to the last day, always attentive to our needs and gave us a very good tour of the premises and the available amenities (fully stocked kitchen, big restroom (shared), and our room with our own key ti it and to the main entrance).
We got good advice on the neighborhood and good places to eat, which is great even if we all may have phones with yelp and stuff.
The place is half a block from a very populated avenue, full of stores, restaurants (including a very nice organic Brunch place) and supermarkets, so the streets had people always, which is nice if you are planning on coming back home late.
William and Ana are nice people, the room was spacious but bed was small, so takes one (website hidden) was great. They provided towels, and water for some days. Kitchen was good but didn't use more than the microwave and fridge. Bathroom was ok but needs some renovation.
I am very pleased with my stay! The room I stayed in was very clean, as was the shared bathroom. I felt just as welcome as I would be at a hotel. The bed was also very comfortable, and it was extremely quiet.
There is a small kitchenette upstairs that was a nice surprise. Complete with dishes, a water bubbler, fridge, and stove.
It was nice that the entrance allows for you to come in without really disturbing anyone. So night owls that like to explore NYC, no problem! My keys worked great, and there is a lock on the room doors, I felt very secure.
I would stay again! Mr. Murray is very sweet and I had a wonderful time talking to him, unfortunately I missed meeting Ana. But they are very accommodating and nice! I highly recommend!
Best stay ever. The place is super clean and welcoming, The hosts sometimes offered me some Caribbean cuisine. Will recommend it to anyone
Ana and Willan were wonderful hosts! Great room and super convenient access to transportation.
The room was large, airy, and clean. The shared kitchen and bath have been remodeled and are quite nice. The skylight in the kitchen is a nice touch. Ana and her husband went out of their way to meet our special needs, for which I am grateful. There is a nice grocery 1.5 blocks away which made it easy to being home any needed supplies. An enjoyable stay for us.
We stayed at Ann's place for 10 days. My wife and two kids were with me. The place was quite comfortable, clean and the room was quite big. Ann and husband were quite accommodative. Ample sheets, blankets, towels. The kitchen was fully functional and we enjoyed cooking. The place is very conveniently located in Brooklyn and we felt quite safe even while returning at 11 pm at night. It is 4 blocks to the No. 3 subway and takes about 10 min to walk. It takes about 30 min to reach mid town Manhattan by subway. The MTA buses are easily available within a block. About 30 min drive from JFK. Lots of restaurants and shops around. Nearby Laundromat. We had to leave early and Ann was quite understanding in this regard. I would really recommend the place for staying while on a visit to New York.
This was my first experience with airbnb and it was a great. It was a comfortable and cozy room just as described and you have access to your own key room & door entrance without bothering the owners on how to get in/out of the place. It was nice to have easy access to a kitchen, shared bathroom etc. and in one of the room that I stayed in it had a sink. It's just a short walk to the subway trains, different stores close by and neighborhood was in a great location.
Lastly, the only negative part I encountered it was their small dog barking at me once in a while because I guess the dog didn't like me..lol.. But overall it was a great experience. Ana and her husband were very helpful if you had any questions about the area etc.
I hope to use this listing again for future visits in BK-NYC.
Ana made us feel very welcome. The room was great. Love the floors in the bedroom!
We were very disappointed. We have arrived at around 7 pm, after a 10 hours flight from Switzerland. The room was overbooked. They had a confusion regarding the date. Therefore the room was not ready and it did not look good. They offered to make the room and we shall come 2 hours later. What we did not accept. We decided to go to another place. Now we have to fight, that we get our money back!
Ana's husband, William was a very good guest. I helped him get to the rental car agency, then he would let us know when he was coming or going out. He cooked a meal for us one night, which was excellent! He stripped the sheets off on the last day, but we would have done that for him. He was a very pleasant guest and called to say how much he enjoyed his stay in Grosse Pointe.
