I love living in Austin and I know the city VERY well! I'm happy to share great local tips with all my guests so you'll get to see the 'real' Austin.

It was a nice charming place. Great location, great books.
Host is an awesome nerd with great sci fi taste
This charming apartment was the perfect location to explore Austin. There were many fun restaurants and bars near by and it was quick Uber ride (or a nice walk if the weather had been warmer) to other fun neighborhoods in Austin. I highly recommend this property to anyone exploring Austin!
Alexandria's place on E 6th is a great location. Good bar beneath you that doesn't make any audible noise from the apartment that I heard. The host was really helpful with her communications, and let us know as soon as it was ready. Great fun!
This charming apartment was both charming and an apartment. Pretty good combo.
Host Alexandria provided great tips on food, music, and getting around.
I stayed at at the apartment for one week at the end of February 2015. It is conveniently located at the East End of 6th Street close enough to the centre and to a great trailer restaurant area and other restaurants. Alexandria was very accomodating and made the check-in and check-out process easy. The apartment is indeed charming with a rustic edge to it. The area is noisy and ear plugs for the night are a must. Sadly during the time I stayed the weather turned to freezing for several days and although the apartment is facilitated with heaters I had trouble keeping it warm as it is rather drafty. I would recomment the aparmtnemnt to others but would not stay there again during the winter.
Alexandria's place was perfect for my Austin trip. I stayed here for an event at the convention center. I parked my car the day I arrived and didn't move it again until I left. The walk to the convention center is a bit over half a mile, and the neighborhood is safe for walking, even for a female alone after dark. If you like the food truck scene, the apartment is well situated, with at least a couple dozen within a few blocks. I ate several meals at various trucks, and all were very good.
The apartment is very nice. The king size bed is extra comfortable, and the twin bed is much nicer than it appears in the photos here. I think Alexandria must have added a mattress since the photos were taken. My roommate said it was very comfortable. The shower has great water pressure and gets good and hot, which made me happy. We had a couple of requests for Alexandria after we checked in (light bulb, kitchen towels, hand towels), and a simple text message resulted in the items being delivered to us less than an hour later. I highly recommend this apartment if you're staying in Austin for events in the downtown area!
I really enjoyed my stay in the Airstream. Super comfy bed, cozy with the space heaters at night. I either walked or took Uber when I was headed out. Bacon tacos and excellent coffee at the QuickiePickie every morning! I only briefly met Alexandria and her husband and they were both welcoming. I was attending a conference and so was away long days.
Alexandria had made check in easy! Place was so cute and great location! Great size for 4 people. Would highly recommend this place!
We had a wonderful stay in the airstream! It was cold in Austin a couple of nights during our visit but the space heaters kept us very warm. The neighborhood is great, and very near lots of new and developing restaurants and bars in east Austin. Great for walking, biking and car2go (we relied on all three). Also a cute little patio attached to the airstream to hang out (we wish it had been warmer for us to enjoy the patio more!)--great place to stay for couples who like to cozy up and don't mind walking across the backyard to use the bathroom (which was very easy to do).
Sorry for my slow feedback response. We liked your apartment and also it's location and how easy all the instructions were in arriving and departing. It was clean and neat and charming. Thank you again.
Alex called me late because of a death of a friend or family member and needed a place to stay. I felt bad about only one night and the cost with housekeeping charges but that is all she needed so I said OK and she agreed. She was very nice and the next day I did tell here that she could stay the extra night free of charge or id she needed to change etc that it would be fine. She was appreciative and did go back and nap a bit before leaving for Austin the evening. Glad I could help. She was very nice and respectful.
Alexandria and her group were perfect guests. They took excellent care of our home and returned it in excellent shape. We were very happy to host them and love to have them again anytime! 10/10!
Alexandria was a wonderful guest and a sincere pleasure to meet. She maintained good communication, was very respectful of the property, and left the guesthouse in great condition. I would gladly host her again and highly recommend her to anyone else!
Excellent guest! Thanks, Andi! :)
Andi was a tremendous guest and I would recommend her as a guest to anyone! She also happens to be a host so I can only imagine how great of a host she would be! It was a real pleasure hosting her and would love to host her again on future trips to Playa!
Andi was a tremendous guest and I would love to host her and her husband again any time! They happen to live relatively close by in Texas and are a great couple to host! They also host people themselves and I have no doubt they would be amazing hosts of their own!
Andi and her family were delightful! Here on a "road trip" for the summer, I had the pleasure of renting an apartment to them in the French Quarter. I offered to babysit their little ones their first night here just to give them some "alone time" with their teenage daughter. They were VERY appreciative. The space was left in perfect condition. They are a super nice couple who are Airbnb hosts as well, renting out a cool looking vintage Airstream in Texas. So they know how to be good guests. Loved them all. Hope to see them again in the future. A beautiful family :)
I have known Andi for over 7 years and I love her to bits!
I live in Australia so when in Austin I stay with her. I have stayed in both the Airstream and the Apartment and love both!
Staying in the Airstream is the perfect Austin experience! It has been tastefully decorated, is very private and is equipped with everything you could possible need. I would definitely recommend staying there, it's especially perfect for a couple.
The Apartment is in the perfect location, right in the heart of East 6th Street with a heap of delish food options and hip bars right on the door step! Andi has done a beautiful job of decorating the apartment as well. Staying there with my partner and another couple was a really great experience.
Andi is the best host and is always super quick to respond to any requests you may have. She has some excellent suggestions of where to eat too so if you're lucky enough to stay with her make sure you ask for recommendations.
I would recommend Andi as a host or a guest to anyone on Airbnb: she is a tonne of fun, super tidy, outgoing and down to earth!
Andi is the best! As her good friend, I highly recommend her as a host - her properties are affordable and adorable, and Andi has hospitality in her genes. She will make sure you are happy, comfortable, and equipped to explore our fair city during your stay. She truly enjoys creating a clean comfy and aesthetically-pleasing space for people to relax in while in Austin. You'll be more happy with your experience renting from Andi!
