I love living in Austin and I know the city VERY well! I'm happy to share great local tips with all my guests so you'll get to see the 'real' Austin.

This place was great for what we needed, short walk to downtown, with local trailers nearby, small but comfortable. We were concerned a little about how noisy the place was going to be, but it turned out to be fine.
The airstream was adorable! Great a/c, which was absolutely needed! Would stay again.
This apartment is the best value you will get for accommodation in Austin. Location is perfect; tons of bars and restaurants close bye and less than 10 minute walk to the city centre. It's a really cool place with everything you could ask for (kitchen with all utensils needed, huge bed, air conditioner, good shower). Alexandria is very nice, checking in via email to make sure I made it to the apartment ok and answering any questions I had promptly.
Stay at this apartment!
Great location! Like the other reviews say a little rough around the edges as it is an old building- but it was decorated super cute. I would maybe recommend bringing an extra fan with you as it gets pretty hot in there. Overall we had a great time!
Alexandria's airstream was a great choice for our stay in Austin. It is very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Furthermore, it is well located on the bus routes, and you can use the bikes she offers to go to downtown or S. Congress. Work was being done on the main house during our stay, but this didn't bother us in the slightest. Alexandria is a very sweet and considerate host - we will recommend her place to friends!
My friend and I wanted a fun, chill, girl's weekend in Austin and that's what we got! Alexandria's place was cute, cozy and in a great location. We were not able to meet her but she was easy to get in touch with and we had no issues. I would definitely recommend her place to others looking for a good time in Austin.
My wife and I stayed in Alexandria's Airstream this past weekend. The moment we walked in, we fell in love with it. The Airstream was both cozy and spacious at the same time. Alexandria decorated it beautifully. It was perfect.
To those who might be doubters, I'll say that I was concerned about only one thing: I'm a warm sleeper. It needs to be cold enough to make my nose run for me to be able to get any sleep. Let me tell you, the A/C in the Airstream is more than capable. It was about 95 degrees outside when we walked up. But upon opening the door, we were greeted with a nice arctic blast of air.
Alexandria and Nathan are in the middle of re-modeling their adorable house, and because of that, the private bathroom for the Airstream guests is brand spanking new and super clean.
A few things Alexandria didn't mention in the posting:
• There's a large mini-fridge in the Airstream.
• Which she's stocked with some minor consumables and a water filter jug
• There's both a tea pot and a coffee maker, with complimentary tea and coffee.
• A Toaster Oven
• A Microwave
• A very nice and deep sink
• Full-length and cosmetic mirrors
• A wonderful (if somewhat out of tune) guitar
• A lot of privacy
If I had one complaint, it was that I didn't get to stay longer. This is a beautiful little place. Thank you, Alexandria.
Location location location! Right on 6th, which is littered with amazing food trucks, cocktail bars, dives, comedy, movies and live music. Great host recommendations (gotta check out the Whitehorse and Easy Tiger). She was easy going while being communicative. The bedrooms are spacious enough to sleep two each, or a luxury for alone time during a a tandem road trip. Great deal.
My boyfriend and I stayed in the airstream for a few nights and we had a wonderful time. The airstream was clean, the ac worked really well and it was in a great location. Alexandria and Nathan were great hosts and recommended excellent food and booze spots. Thank you!
It's a cute apartment in a great location. There are nice restaurants/bars around and a great food truck lot just a block or two away. It also isn't very far from downtown Austin, just a few minutes by car if you're feeling tired, but we walked there a few times also. The bed was comfortable, and Alexandria has a nice chalkboard where she has suggestions where to go. Very good host, very accommodating.
Excellent guest! Thanks, Andi! :)
Andi was a tremendous guest and I would recommend her as a guest to anyone! She also happens to be a host so I can only imagine how great of a host she would be! It was a real pleasure hosting her and would love to host her again on future trips to Playa!
Andi was a tremendous guest and I would love to host her and her husband again any time! They happen to live relatively close by in Texas and are a great couple to host! They also host people themselves and I have no doubt they would be amazing hosts of their own!
Andi and her family were delightful! Here on a "road trip" for the summer, I had the pleasure of renting an apartment to them in the French Quarter. I offered to babysit their little ones their first night here just to give them some "alone time" with their teenage daughter. They were VERY appreciative. The space was left in perfect condition. They are a super nice couple who are Airbnb hosts as well, renting out a cool looking vintage Airstream in Texas. So they know how to be good guests. Loved them all. Hope to see them again in the future. A beautiful family :)
I have known Andi for over 7 years and I love her to bits!
I live in Australia so when in Austin I stay with her. I have stayed in both the Airstream and the Apartment and love both!
Staying in the Airstream is the perfect Austin experience! It has been tastefully decorated, is very private and is equipped with everything you could possible need. I would definitely recommend staying there, it's especially perfect for a couple.
The Apartment is in the perfect location, right in the heart of East 6th Street with a heap of delish food options and hip bars right on the door step! Andi has done a beautiful job of decorating the apartment as well. Staying there with my partner and another couple was a really great experience.
Andi is the best host and is always super quick to respond to any requests you may have. She has some excellent suggestions of where to eat too so if you're lucky enough to stay with her make sure you ask for recommendations.
I would recommend Andi as a host or a guest to anyone on Airbnb: she is a tonne of fun, super tidy, outgoing and down to earth!
Andi is the best! As her good friend, I highly recommend her as a host - her properties are affordable and adorable, and Andi has hospitality in her genes. She will make sure you are happy, comfortable, and equipped to explore our fair city during your stay. She truly enjoys creating a clean comfy and aesthetically-pleasing space for people to relax in while in Austin. You'll be more happy with your experience renting from Andi!
