We loved this place. This place is right on the beach, is just a short walk to surfing with a nice restaurant down the beach. Not to mention authentic, wonderful meals right next door.
Sonny was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The whole vibe of this place is great...hammocks, the sunsets, bikes, a kayak, our own little balcony. We didn't want to leave!! We were lucky that they happened to not be booked because we stayed an extra night rather than travel to Liberia before our flight in the early morning. Sonny arranged transportation to the airport for us and even got up at 4 am to see us off with hot coffee for us and snacks for our 2 girls!!
Highly recommend - thank you Sonny for the wonderful memories!!

Thank You Jackie & Family for your wonderful review:)! Rita & I are merely very pleased You All enjoyed our little space. Thank You Again:)
This place is very easy to get to.
The host is an amazing guy. He answered all of our questions, chilled with us, suggested places to eat, gave directions and was very laid back.
Even though we were late to check out, he didnt say a word and did not rush us at all. He is like a cool uncle that you can ask anything.
wow - what amazing 15 days! we stayed in the beach cabina that IS in fact on the beach. cabina offers all you need for a pura vida surf/beach vacation (comfy bed, shower, kitchen, fridge...) and is super clean! we enjoyed making breakfast & dinner and dine with ocean view under palm trees! the family next doors offers fresh & great tico style lobster & fish! other restaurants within 10min by car! supermarket is 10min by car or 25 by bicycle! we had no car & didn't miss one! surf spots playa callejones & negra are just there! what made our holidays so special is sonny & rita's hospitality! they love what they are doing and let you be a part of the family (if you want). at bela vista you can truly enjoy the pura vida lifestyle!!! muchos gracias rita & sonny!! weeeee.....
Gracias Machissimo & we miss You Two also (Juesos too) :):)
Sonny's place is awesome. The cabin is just as described and we couldn't have felt more welcome. The beach is a bit rocks but great for snorkeling and there is a great surf spot just up the beach 2 mins.
Using the GPS coordinates that sonny gave us, it was incredibly simple to get to the little slice of heaven that is Vista Bella. Upon arriving sonny and rita greeted us and gave the tour of the incredibly spacious loft. The loft was clean and had its own kitchen, and the bed very comfortable. With the beach right outside our doorstep, it was easy to simply get up in the morning, don a bathing suit and lie in the hammocks or on the sand all day. Enough people around to make friends, but still quiet enough to simply enjoy life. Loved the deck to play cards and have a drink after watching the sunset. Amazing spot, definitely did not want to leave!
Staying with Sonny and Rita was simply perfect! Our favorite place to stay in Costa Rica! We missed them as soon as we left! The beach was perfect for running, surfing, hammocks, and good company!
Great restaurant next store and walking distance in town. Tamarindo is a bike ride away! Haha
Overall though- you could simply enjoy the space with the hosts because they are so amazing- welcoming, fun, and just good people! Thank you Sonny and Rita for showing us the real pura vida!
Sonny, Rita, and their nephew Fabian were the perfect hosts- extremely laid back and warm while being thoroughly helpful. They are really living the dream and that energy was key to a special experience. They handed us a cold beer the second we arrived, had local menus/activity suggestions, were available to take us in to town, invited us for lunch on their beachside veranda, lent us yoga (email hidden)ey truly went above and beyond the entire time we spent with them. Their cabinitas are an off-the-beaten-path destination in a really cool small jungle/beach community, so if that's not your thing then keep looking! The cabin was the most basic choice of their available accommodations and it was very comfortable and perfectly clean... they have a real piece of paradise that you'll feel lucky to have stumbled upon!
Sonny and his family were amazing and very welcoming! Always ready to help.. We felt at home! We had a fantastic and relaxing stay. Located right on the beach! If taking public transport, give Sonny a call from the town of Paraiso to spare you a long walk.
All in all we had a blast!
My husband and I stayed in this cabin one night en route to Nosara. Sonny was exactly as his name suggests - a warm, charismatic and welcoming host who shares the property with his wife Rita. He greeted us with fresh coconuts and information about the area and generously stayed up late to help with a bag lost by the airlines. The property lies in a delightfully remote location at the end of a road, immediately on the beach. There are hammocks out front and the waves lap at the coast just steps from the front door. The cabin is tiny, with an outdoor sink and cooking stove, but offers plenty of space for sleeping. It would benefit from a screen to cover the window, however, as we had to turn out the lights early to keep out insects. There are a few restaurants and stores in town and thanks to the off-the-beaten path location, seemingly fewer tourists than one would find in nearby locales. My husband and I appreciated the chance to interact with the very friendly locals and practice our Spanish in a place where people didn't switch immediately to English upon hearing our accents.
Staying at playa callejones is like being in paradise. If you like surfing, this is for sure a great place to go, with many beaches very near to the house (including the famous playa negra at a 10 min walk). The cabins are literaly right on the beach with a beautifull view on the ocean. There are pipas and coconuts which you can get every day.
I stayed with Sonny and Rita for two months, when I got there I was wondering if two months wouldn't be too long, but before I knew it I had to leave already! This was not only because it was a really nice place to stay, but also because Sonny and Rita are great people, I felt like I was a part of the family there and had a lot of good laughs with Sonny and Rita.
I'm going to miss Vista Bela, Sonny and Rita and will for sure come back to this place.
Thank you Sonny and Rita!!
