I am a research economist with the Forest Service's Rocky Mountain Research Station in Fort Collins, CO. I grew up in Louisiana and moved to the Rockies in 2004 to attend grad school. I got my PhD from Univ. of Wyoming in 2008, then worked as a professor for 3 years at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. We (my wife and two kids) moved back to the US (and the Rockies) in May 2011. I spend most of my weekends hiking with my 4 year old son and have set a personal goal to sleep 'under the stars' 52 nights per year.
