Former teacher/college professor, now an editor. Widow with two 20-something sons and a DIL. Family and friends scattered around. Lots of interests
I stayed with Sarah for a month and was grateful to see someone so untied to her possessions, she's very generous and makes you feel like her home is yours. Sarah is sweet and takes over mom role while you're staying at her place picking up laundry, providing breakfast, keeping fresh towels at hand, pointing you to places to visit in the city, and inviting you along with her on many outings. Everything in her profile is spot on. If you're looking for a warm, cozy home away from home when you travel and don't need the Ritz, her place is perfect.
I stayed here for 2 days. For the price, I can't complain much. It was cheap, but came with a price. Place was messy, and the bed sheets smell like it has not been washed since the past person's stay. No bugs, but floor was not vacuumed. I did not get to shower for 2 days because I couldn't bare to stand in shower without shoes. Sarah was very kind though. Personally I would pay 20-40 extra to stay at a cleaner place
Sarah was a wonderful and friendly host like mama :)
She served delicious food and even gave an advice for enjoying life as a senior and also her room was so comfortable and warm. Also, When we have to go to bus terminal at midnight, she gave me a ride.
If I have a opportunity to visit atlanta, I really want to stay her house.
I had a great stay with Sarah.
She is a lovely woman and made an effort to link me up with several of her friends who work in media - something which I was interested in.
The place was easy to find and the room was very comfortable.
If you're looking for an Airbnb where meeting new and interesting people is a priority, then Sarah's is the perfect place to stay.
I hope I can get the chance to stay for longer next time!
Sharah was a wonderful and truly gracious host, with a great sense of humor! To my happy surprise, she was also the only host I've had the joy of meeting that treated me to the B&B part of "airBnB! She actually offered breakfast! Imagine, no one else had up to that point. Even her neighbors have only good things to say about her, and are glad to tell stories! The next time I have the need I would certainly see if Sarah and her home are available! My stay was super pleasant.
Sarah was so hospitable and friendly! She even had yummy cookies waiting for me when I got there late! Her cats were so sweet, and just as welcoming as she was!
Sarah was really nice and hospitable. Her spare room was taken but she let us stay on the couch and it wasn't bad at all. She had two cats, one was the most friendly cat I've ever met. We were worried that the house might smell like cats but it didn't. It's a great location right downtown, but I still felt safe leaving my rental car there and there was plenty of space for it. Overall it was a great place for two tired travelers to crash for the night for cheap and if we're ever in Atlanta we will definitely call her again!
Sara is a nice host. You can always contact her through phone if she is not in the house. (Basically we saw her all the time when we were in the house)
She invited us to join her activities so we went to church with her in the morning before we left and she drove us to the airport.
She's really talkative. We enjoyed the time we had conversations with her.
Her house is about 35 minutes from World of Coca Cola and CNN by bus, which I think is quite convenient of you don't have a car.
Unfortunately we did not have a good experience here. We booked on the same day and then travelled to Atlanta. By 5pm, we still had not received the address or details even though we had been pre-approved and had had contact with the host. We finally received the address at about 6:30pm, went to the house and were greeted by two French travellers who were the guests from the night before and were still in our room. They didn't let us in (fair enough) and we could not get in touch with the host. She finally arrived home to let us in at about 8pm. The french travellers left around 10pm and we could finally move into our room. The house was extremely dirty. The kitchen was full of dirty dishes and plastic bottles, the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned ever and the kitty litter tray was full. We are world travellers and have seen a lot and are really not fussy at all but this was unsanitary. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, such a disappointment.
Response from Sarah:
Too bad you didn't call, as I'd suggested at least once, to get the address or ask me to fix the things you didn't find satisfactory. If I'd known, I could have emptied the sink and cleaned the bathroom.
It was very nice experience, stayed there for almost 1 n half months,no complains at (website hidden) of two cats was always wonderful though I am not a cat lover.Sarah was wonderful, made so much like I was in home.I hope to stay there in future.
Thank you sarah
Sarah was an easy guest to accommodate, and if we are ever in the Atlanta area we will be sure to check out your place!
Sarah was a wonderful guest! A very intelligent and pleasant person that I wish all guests were like! The room was left in excellent condition and she promptly communicated with me regarding all aspects of the reservation.
Sarah left the cottage nice and clean. She is welcome back anytime.
