Gilles was a very nice host. He greeted us on checkin and explained everything clearly, even providing us with a map and pointing out several places we might like to visit. The apartment was clean and spacious and had everything we needed for our short stay. I would stay here again.
Gilles is an excellent host and speaks both French and English. He greets us on check-in and explains everything clearly - where to find the pillows, blankets and towels, and kitchen utensils and how to operate appliances, even providing us with a map and pointing out several places we might like to visit and dine and where to park for overnight parking. Unfortunately, the parking area opposite from the apartment is closed. The recommended and closest parking underground garage is on Rue Saint Joachim next to the Place d'Youville park, bus station, Palace Montcalm and the Marriott which is only 4-5 blocks away. Cost for overnight parking is CAD$18. The apartment was clean and spacious for 4 persons. It had everything we needed for our 3 days visit in Quebec City. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to everyone.
Great experience. The apartment is located in excellent and central location. Gilles (email hidden). Apartment was clean and spacious. Unfortunately, there is no more parking on the street right next to the house so make sure you go to a garage or find parking on side streets. Garage of off rue Dorchester that we found was safe and $14/night.
Gilles has a fine apartment near the old city. There is enough place for four to sleep comfortably. It was well provided with everything we needed.
We stayed for three nights. Gilles was very friendly; he speaks both English and French and gave us some good suggestions about the places to see. Good location, the building does not look good from the outside, but inside it was spacious and nice, it has refrigerator, stove and microwave. Good area, the grocery is nearby and great bakery is nearby as well. We visited during the summer, the place does not have a conditioner, but it was cool enough at night and Gilles provided a big fan. You can park on the street but only at night (from 6 pm to 6am or from 9pm to 9am), so we end up leaving our car at parking two blocks away and paying $18 per day. We enjoyed our stay!
Excellent location. Perfect walking distance to everything. Gilles (email hidden). We look forward to our return.

Nice, clean apartment in a good location that is well stocked with everything you need. Gilles (email hidden).
I loved it here! This apartment is very cozy and clean. The location is centrally located: old town is across the street Av Honore Mercier, while the rest of Rue St.-Jean is just 3 short blocks away. It's close enough to the night life to walk, but far enough away to get a peaceful night's sleep. Gilles and his family are very friendly and charming and made sure I had everything I needed. Perfect stay!
The location was superb! The apartment also had all the necessities that one would be made to feel at home. The photos are faithful to what the apartment is like. This unit actually also has a patio that overlooks the city. My family and I spent most of our time either meandering the streets (a short walk), or on the patio. The internet can be slow at times, but a more important recommendation would be to reconsider if there are taller individuals in the group - the beds were uncomfortable for my brother and father because of their height (who is around 180cm).
Excellent and good sized apartment within a few minutes walk of Rue Saint-Jean and the old city. Would give 5 stars as all is perfect BUT for one major item - the bed is very uncomfortable and worn out. This must be replaced as sleep quality is key to airbnb. So 3 stars only. Also note if you have a car, then use pay parking at $20 per 24 hours during weekdays.
Exchanging keys was extremely challenging. Was told evening, then 11 pm, then arrives at 1:15 am on a Saturday night, when I am a bar manager. Did the best I could to accommodate, but had trouble getting to respond via email or text the day of arrival. Didn't communicate much else about leaving or checkout but let the apartment just fine.
