I'm Irish, I live in Co. Dublin, I have two children. My husband and I both love meeting new people from different countries, and we also love travelling.

Venetia is a gracious host. Met her on arrival as planned, then privacy and seclusion for remainder of trip. Being irish, I know this is the best location for a visitor to enjoy the wonderful, opulent south dublin areas. You need a car really but within twenty minutes you're in the garden of Ireland, thirty and you're in amazing valleys and 1100 year old monastery ruins. Also fifteen minutes to centre of dublin. Comfortable one bedroom apartment with breakfast items already there for your morning after the Druid Chair Bar night before!
We spent a comfortable, pleasant week in Venetia's place. She was there to welcome us, and was available to resolve any issues if there had been any. In fact we had no problems whatever - a home from home in an excellent location! We would be very happy to stay there again.
Venetia made us feel very welcome, even provided us some groceries for breakfast when we arrived. She was up early to greet us as well as our flight got in very early. The apartment was as described and while it is a bit of a distance from Dublin, we enjoyed taking the train in and being a little farther away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The host canceled this reservation 31 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

Great appartment, great location, so peaceful. Venetia was an amazing host, so charming and helpful.
This appartment even inspired my boyfriend to go smaller than our present house, which is a grand "tour de force".
Highly recommended !
Venetia was a very considerate host and always ready to help with whatever we needed. The moment we arrived she greeted us a with a warm, friendly smile.
The apartment was cozy and welcoming, and we were also given a few groceries that really helped us get settled. The location is great if you have a car. If not, be prepared to do a little walking (not too much). We used the bus to get into Dublin a few times - it takes about an hour.
I have to mention that we had some issues with the hot water and had to endure a few cold showers which wasn't very pleasant. Be sure to check with Venetia regarding the timing of the geyser so that you know when there will be hot water or let her know if you'll need hot water so that she can adjust the timer.
That being said, we really had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again next time we visit Ireland. Venetia definitely deserves that Superhost badge!
I really enjoyed being a guest at Venetias's apartment. Pictures are very accurate and she's a great host. All communication before booking, and after the booking (I'd to make minor changes to my reservation) were clear and without any problems. She prepared the apartment with everything we needed and plenty of food (the bread was amazing).
I arrived by car and was easy and convenient for me to move around, but it could be tricky if you use public transportation, as the apartment is far away from the city center.
Overall, a nice stay and I can recommend it.
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely, bright and cosy apartment. We received a friendly welcome and were made feel at home. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous hospitality in the form of milk, gorgeous bread, tea, eggs, butter and orange juice! It was much appreciated as we arrived in the evening. The location was fantastic with easy access to the dart and the beautiful village of Dalkey. The apartment also had a lovely private garden which made you feel like you were in the country.
The apartment was lovely, quiet, and immaculate. You can walk to the sea (beautiful) or the DART station in a half hour or less. Transportation into Dublin is available just down the road at the bus stop and buses are frequent (the ride into Dublin city centre is about 50 minutes). I enjoyed the ride because we passed through lots of towns and villages. Philip picked me up at the coach station in Dalkey and give me a mini-tour as we headed to the apartment, very kind and it helped to situate me a little. There is also a guest book with maps and flyers and information which I found very helpful. I really enjoyed my stay!
Nous avons passé trois nuits dans cet appartement très cosy. Sa situation nous a permis de découvrir facilement Dublin et Glendalough. Un accueil très gentil de Venetia et de son conjoint.
