After major recession set backs hit us hard, we are re-building and received an invitation to 2 dear friends' wedding in Tulum on December 31st!
I will have 2 weeks off from my part time HS teaching job from Dec. 26-Jan. 6th. I know this recession is hitting your business and is something that we are all feeling so this is very difficult to even propose and ask for help. We really would love to attend my best friend (since the age of 14) Kim's wedding in Tulum and we have no idea how we can afford this luxury during high season. We can try to afford the plane tickets, but I m sure we cannot afford high cost lodging. At most we could handle $50 a night and survive once we return. However, if I could work the lodging costs off by working for the resort in some capacity while we are there somehow, that would be beautiful.
I could trade some jewelry from my custom line or some other form of trade that the tourists or locals may need or embrace. Additionally, we can add to your publicity factor and market your resort with web, blog features or anything you would like or I could volunteer in any aspect, including your kitchen or restaurants since I am a trained cook. I haven't been on the line in a while though. I do know how to serve as a waitress quite well in high traffic scenarios. I am business savvy and smart. Both my husband and I have MA in humanities. I am a high school teacher and he works at USC as an event planner.
Alli esta el celebracion de amor y es necesito para nosotros venemos a Tulum a la playa a estudiar y vivamos en natura con mi amor. I am a trained yogi and can teach hatha flow basics and meditation.
We are a loving couple in dire need of a break, can offer trade, work and possibly some money, but I am doubtful we can afford high season price points.
As stated before, my husband and I can make anything with our hands and cook and serve. My husband and I create websites, I am a lifestyle blogger with innumerable readers. I am certified to teach ELs, locals, professionals or tourists English, Drama and/or Art classes while there and I am fairly bilingual and capable of teaching how to speak without accents or how to change one's voice and diction through vocal technique and theory. I think I am starting to age myself with my array of life and work experience, but I am a student of life and a life long learner at the wee age of 31.
I obviously would publicize your lovely lodgings if any arrangements could be worked out I would be so grateful, forever thankful and endeared/enchanted. I am up for anything (working part-time etc...) at this point and desperate to simply make it to the wedding (new Year's Eve and the day after.
I would only need three-four days for myself and my husband to rest and recuperate after our current hectic, work season that will be completed by December. Unfortunately, our fall work pays very little in our crazy, expensive home of Los Angeles! Please take me it in slowly. I hope this wasn't tmi or too verbose. My hope is that you'll be interested or at the very least you can pass it on to someone who may want to trade or need someone like my husband or me to work for lodgings!
Pura Vida as the Ticans say where I usually spend my winter, working and vacationing with the locals and tourists!
-References available and resumes with sample work and such upon request!
PS: We are flexible about the dates if we are coming for the entire two weeks to work, but we would need December 31st-Jan. 2 off if coming for the entire 2 week high season. Please let me know either way if there is an option for trade or anything to make this work or if you have/know someone who might be interested in us and our offerings.
