This was my first AirBnB experience and it went very well. Eric was easy to reach, responded quickly to my inquiry and questions, and the key exchange was extremely smooth. The apartment's rooms are all very spacious, including a huge balcony. The kitchen was well equipped, which was perfect for travelling with a baby. The internet signal was weak and didn't work for my laptop, only my phone. The neighbourhood is great, with lots of amenities nearby-many bakeries, cafes, bars, restaurants, groceries, several beautiful parks, and short walk to the subway (and only a couple stops to Manhattan-30 minute trip), plus easy reach to many Brooklyn sites. While the neighbourhood is mostly quiet and residential, the large bedroom window is near the street (2nd floor) and the traffic could sometimes be loud at night. We found free parking very easily on the street. Overall, it was a comfortable way to spend time in this neighbourhood.
My fiance and I had a wonderful stay at Eric's place! It was very neat and clean when we arrived, and Eric is the nicest guy! He left us with bread, delicious jam, and other breakfast goodies.
The location is great - 10 minute walk to the subway and close to lots of great restaurants. If we had a longer trip, we probably would've utilized the kitchen - it looked great. It has a gas stove, microwave, lots of counter space.
The bathroom is beautiful, and the shower is amazing - perfect water pressure, which is hard to find anywhere.
The internet wasn't working very well, which wasn't a big deal for us. It was a short trip, and we both have iphones. If we had been staying longer, it probably would've been difficult, as we both were trying to get a bit of work done while we were there.
If you are a light sleeper and you go around a holiday (St. Patricks day for us!), you WILL hear very loud drunk people late at night. It wasn't much of a problem for us but may be for light sleepers.
All in all, a great place to stay, and we'd definitely book it again!

Great guest! Very respectful of the cabin and easy communication. I look forward to accommodating again and would recommend to other host! Thanks for making hosting a pleasure
Eric was a wonderful guest: quiet, respectful and very considerate. I would have host him again in a heart beat!
Eric was awesome. Super considerate fellow. I'd book him again anytime.
The perfect guest
I've known Eric for over 10 years. He is an extremely trustworthy, very clean and organized individual. If you were to be renting with Eric or have Eric as a renter I'm sure you'll have a trouble free experience. So if you find your self in New York, spend a few nights at Eric's for a comfortable no worry visit.
I met Eric back in Texas during our college years. He's a really great guy, open, friendly curious, always in the know and I'm sure a great host.
I've known Eric for the last 6 years after meeting him at the ad agency where I worked. He's a fun, sociable guy who is into the creative arts (photography, design, etc) and is always working on some interesting side project. He's really easy going and we've hung out a lot over the years - I even invited him to my family home on several occasions. Eric lives in a new, modern loft in Greenpoint, an up-and-coming and artistic part of Brooklyn. It's a great space to live and host (it has a roof deck!), so he often invites people over to grill, kick back and enjoy views of Manhattan. If you're visiting New York, it's a great place to stay, plus you'll get free advice from someone who has lived all over Manhattan and Brooklyn.
