We enjoyed absolutely everything about our stay at Sally's cabin. The location is gorgeous. The organic shampoos, towels and bedding were fabulous...created a spa like setting. We can't wait to return!
We really enjoyed Sally's cabin in the woods! The fall colors were beautiful and the setting is so quiet and serene. I especially enjoyed the shower on the porch during a rain storm. It was heavenly! Sally was very accommodating and was available by phone or text for anything we needed. We hope to be back next year!
Adorable cabin in the woods! We loved it and definitely want to return. The cabin was super clean and decorated wonderfully. Made for a peaceful, relaxing visit. Sally was great and always available via text for anything that was needed. Wealth of info on the area. The cabin was also located conveniently near wineries and hiking/biking trails. And you can't beat the sauna that is inside the cabin!
Sally's cabin is magical. Day by day, you will find the small footage of this cabin expand into a great, restful, space. Sally's energy and care is reflecting to this cabin. After a 3-day stay, We began feeling very much at home.
It is in a wonderful location with many wineries, along with the many nature trails in nearby state parks.
I highly recommend this place.
My boyfriend and I stayed at the cabin recently and we wish we stayed longer. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but this trip turned out better than we had planned. There's a lot of pamphlets and books at the cabin, we probably browsed a few but stuck to our instincts on what we wanted to do/see. Our first day we were ambitious- and took out our own bikes- biking down rt 414 just to see how far we could go. Long story short, its not bad biking away from the cabin- because its all downhill, but keep in mind the route back is tiring. However, its definitely do-able, we don't cycle very often but it was a very energetic & tiring day. I liked the shower outside- it felt like you were out in the forest with all the openness. The bed upstairs is super comfortable and cozy. My favorite would have to be the sauna- because I love going to the spa. My only recommendation would be for Sally to someday create a steam room to go along with the sauna :) I didn't think it could- but keep the fire going and it can get really hot! The stove was cute. The outhouse....wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. She keeps it clean and its cute too- kinda perched on a mini-hill with stone steps leading to it. Yeah, thankfully didnt have to use it in the middle of the night- but it wasnt soo bad. I really enjoyed this cabin, its an awesome place to be with someone you care about. Thank you so much for sharing your awesome place - hope to be back someday!!
P.s.,,also loved the candles and shampoo at sally's
This space is incredible. It is immaculately kept, and furnished with such care. You can tell Sally has spent a lot of time and energy creating this space, and if you're lucky enough to stay there that attention to detail will greet you at the end of the driveway.
I suppose the biggest surprise was the sauna?!?!?! I saw the pictures but could not believe what was inside this space. A full sized sauna that gets VERY hot if you want it to!
Plenty of privacy and a very well kept outhouse.
Can't recommend this place highly enough.
Our trip to Sally's cabin was EXACTLY what we had hoped - except it was even more perfect and beautiful than the pictures. It is the perfect space for a romantic getaway! It is clean, well organized, and has lots of detail. The shower is great!
The first 36 hours it poured, but we did not mind as we relaxed, cooked, and enjoy the quietness away from Boston, in a rustic setting while remaining completely dry! When the sun came out we spent a day at wineries and breweries - there are TONS of them so close to her cabin. In a mile stretch we were able to go to 6 and there were many more.
If you fall in love with this cabin by the pictures and the idea of it - do it, book it!
I love this little cabin. We had a great time. It is a nice spot to get away for awhile. Like camping, only better! There is a lot to see within a short distance, and it's a very peaceful setting and town. Sally was a great host too, and easy to contact with any questions.
We had a great time at Sally's cabin. It's perfect. Starting from with Sally herself; she's always just a text, phone call, or even just a yell away. She's full of knowledge of the area and guided us to some wonderful places. The cabin is tucked away and open air to enjoy the natural surroundings. It had everything we needed including serenity and relaxation. Great location too! Far enough from town, and close to some natural atractions and many wineries. We will be back. Thank you Sally for a wonderful time.
Sally's place is indeed a serene cabin in the woods! My mother, daughter, and I had a wonderful time staying in this very special place. It is one of the most eco-friendly places I have ever stayed. Close to many fun places (Seneca Wine Trail, Watkins Glen State Park, Seneca Lake, nice restaurants), for anyone looking for a little adventure, I would highly recommend staying at Sally's cabin.
I did not meet Sally personally but she was a delight to communicate with before and during her stay. She is an experienced Airbnb'r so I knew she'd be a great guest. She was very clear with me about any concerns she had prior to staying, which I appreciated so I could make sure her stay went smoothly and without any problems. When we arrived home our condo was as clean as it was when we left. Obviously I would recommend Sally to any Airbnb host.
Sally and her friends stayed with me for 3 nights while they attended an equine therapy training program nearby. They couldn't have been nicer or more respectful of us and the space. They also communicated well and were precise with their timing on their comings and goings. I so enjoyed their company and look forward to seeing them again!
Sally and her "crew" were wonderful guests.
I have to admit I was a bit nervous having her as she has so much more experience at this than I do!
The apartment was left clean and she even put all the linen in the laundry basket for me.
She also gave me some great ideas to make it an even better experience for future guests!
It would be a pleasure to have her again and I sincerely hope that some day I will have the opportunity to stay at her place as well!
Sally is in excellent guest in so many more ways than just her visit. She communicates her wonderful knowledge as an experienced airbnb host with great discernment and kindness. She has undoubtedly helped me to be come a better hostess in the advice she gave me. Meeting her in person was a treasure. She embraces the places she visits wholeheartedly and really moves into the culture and activities with the ease of a native. She is tidy and thoughtful and respectful of your home and I would welcome her return visit at any time.
Sally was a great guest. Charming, friendly and tidy. I highly recommend her as a guest.
Sally was a great guest, hope to see more of her in the future...felt like an old friend...
Sally was an absolute pleasure, I was very happy to rent my apt. to her. She is a very nice person and very clean. I would highly recommend her as a guest. She is a sweetheart.
Sally is an astonishing friend and terrific host, and her cabin, without any exaggeration, is an oasis. The place is beautiful down to the last detail--the balcony is right up in the trees, the floors are pure art, and the outhouse beats any marble-tiled-gold-plated hotel bathroom anywhere. The place is small, but Sally is generous with both care and space; she makes sure the place is fully equipped, but she doesn't hover or intrude. It's just the place you'd want to be, and when you leave, you'll be planning your next trip back. Nice.
Sally is gem of a gal with a wealth of resources on all things cool. There when you need her and not when you need your privacy.
The guest house is just a little ways away from hers but feels like acres away. The whole property buts up to a National forest which gives it an amazingly private fee. It’s a serene paradise like no other.
The cabin was cozy & quaint and has a screened in outdoor shower facing the private ravine that borders the property.
During the course of our stay there we had dinner together a few nights and filled the place with the smell of great food, zydeco music and laughter.
Truly a good time.
Sally is a world traveler, musician and avid gardener. Very easy going and a real pleasure to be around.
I’ll be back again this summer.
