Haraldur's house was amazing - so comfortable, warm, quiet and conveniently located. He sent us really detailed and helpful information on where to go, everything was super-easy and perfect for us. I would highly recommend!
This is a great place to stay in Reykjavik. A very short walk from the port and the city centre. The house is nice and spacious, yet also cosy with a very nice open living area which is perfect for relaxing. They whole place felt like a nice family home.
Harald was very helpful with info and welcoming him, though we didn't meet him. We arrived late on a Sunday night but all was organised so we could get in fine. The place was also 5 minutes from a 24 hour convenience store, which was, well, convenient.
I recommend the house. Very clean, comfortable and modern.
We stayed in Halli's flat in Iceland for 5 days -- it was perfect! The place is much larger than we realized and had all of the amenities we needed. I particularly appreciated the extra things that made our stay very comfortable:a french press, hair dryer, apple TV + projector. We liked the place so much we wished we had booked it for our entire visit. We ended up booking the flat for our last night in Iceland. It was easily our favorite place - clean, comfortable, and centrally located. Halli and Halli's friend Thor were easy to contact and very responsive -- highly recommend!
We LOVED your apartment Halli. Thank-you so much for all the information, the awesome space and thanks to Thor for giving us access whilst you're away. Anyone reading this, no more thought required, click BOOK IT! and do yourself a favour.

Fantastic location - quiet residential street walking distance from harbor - interesting space, private parking!
Haraldur sent a long email in advance with all the info we could need, and was extra helpful during our stay when he heard our son was not feeling well, looking up the hours at which the health clinic in our next (remote) location would be open.
Perfect space for family! Halli and Thor made everything so easy. It had everything we needed and more for a lovely introduction to Iceland. Great location and comfortable cozy home away from home. Wish we could have stayed longer. Violet tells baby bear, "hi!"
House is absolutely beautiful and a joy to stay in. I stayed in five different places throughout Iceland and this was by far my favorite. The house is centrally located, beautifully decorated and Haraldur was a wonderfully responsive host. Highly recommend the place!
First of all the decor of the apartment is perfect:) Very modern and nordic and clean. He even let us use his mac and ipad. The internet is also very fast too. Location is very close to city center and only 5 mins-walk away from nearby mini market. Before arrival, Haraldur already sent (email hidden) about the apartment & surroundings. And his friend, Thor, is also friendly, helping us to find website for airport transfer. We really recommend to those who are going to Iceland to book in advance bus transfer from and to the airport. Taxi is VERY expensive (spent 95 euros one way).
Haraldur's place is very well located, a short and pleasant walk of about 5 to 10 minutes takes you downtown Reykjavik. It's in a residential and quite area as well. The house is cozy and has everything you need, from the washing machine to the kitchen utensils. The bed is comfortable and the Apple TV has plenty of movies and shows for a lazy night after hiking and exploring the Golden Circle. I would totally recommend anyone staying there! I had a great time with no hiccups except finding it :-)
Arriving: Haraldur wasn't there (I knew it and he had sent me detailed info) and we haven't met as also his friend Thor, who is responsible for the place. I found it a bit difficult to find the house because it shares the plot with another property so it can be confusing and the number is not in a very obvious place. I also arrived late at night (most flights to Reykjavik land around midnight) and it was raining too, that added a level of difficulty finding the place. Thor wasn't there in person and had left the key on a secret spot, so I also had to call him to find it. It wasn't a problem for me because it worked out fine but adds a few bumps to the overall experience.
Place: It is smaller than I thought but it's very cozy. It's a small structure sharing the plot with a bigger house. As I said, it had everything I needed.
Cats: Reykjavik is a cat city which I only discovered there. Being a cat lover I had a lot of fun playing with them. There are 2 or 3 from the neighboring house that walk around and they are very friendly. Attention cat lovers this is your place!
Possible improvements: better pillows. Really, that's my only suggestion. I know I'm being picky here! ;-)
Haraldur and Thor: throughout the process, Haraldur sent me detailed info about the place and the city. He was very attentive and responsive. Thor answered my calls when I needed to ask questions. I can't complain at all.
We spent one night at Haraldur's amazing house and everything was just perfect! Everything you need (supermarkets/shopping streets and the main highlights) is in walking distance. It is maybe the most equipped house we've been in two weeks of Iceland. Thor, the contact in Reykjavik welcomed us and explained everything. So everything was perfect and the house is highly recommendable!
It was great to receive Haraldur and his family home. They are really kind persons and respectful with the conditions of the apartment. Always available when and easy going. I will definitely chose them as hosts again. Always welcome!!
He was a great guest. His family took excellent care of my flat and was a breeze to communicate with. I would rent to them again.
Very good guest, organize and they keep the apartment clean when they left. I would be glad to have him as our guest again.
What a sweet family, and they even cleaned after themselves.....I can only recommend this family
