We met one of Bridgitte's family members at check-in as Bridgitte was visiting another dear member of her family after his major surgery. She was very thorough in showing us where extra blankets were, what time breakfast would be available, etc. The beds were comfortable and the shower good. Breakfast was croissants/bread/jelly/little boxes of cereal/milk/juice/yogurt. We met Bridgitte at breakfast and she was very friendly as well. There was some parking on the street in front of the b&b and a parking lot a couple hundred of yards up the road - check with Bridgitte if there is another option for parking as these will probably be crowded during heavy tourist seasons. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot with good water pressure. The kids thought the colored light that changed as the water temp changed was cool. The welcome book in the room was helpful. This is a truly professional B&B place to stay.
Things to note:
-The pictures in the listing are of multiple rooms/views from multiple places and I don't think all the rooms have views of the fortress/castle walls. The views of all the lower rooms are partially obstructed by the buildings you see in the bottom of the main picture. The picture you see that has the bridge in it is taken from a spot that is a 5 minute walk away. Carsasonne is really cool and worth the visit.
-You can occasionally hear louder guests through the walls.
-The staircase up to Mandarin room is a fairly narrow, spiral staircase - may want to discuss with Bridgitte if you have limited mobility.
We spent a lovely night in Carcassonne in Les Florentines. Brigitte is the best host and her breakfast was delicious. Location is perfect and the rooms are perfect. I totally recommend staying here when you visit the city.
We loved our stay in the Florentine room, it was lovely, thank you.
Brigitte was prompt to connect, welcoming and helpful when I arrived. Carcassonne was so beautiful when I arrived by train that I decided to walk to Les Florentines. After pulling my suitcase 20 minutes through town I came to the bridge where there is a perfect view of La Cite - had to stop for photos! Just a few more blocks to a picturesque old street at the foot of the castle. My room (Jonquille) was great, quite spacious, window overlooking the street, en suite bathroom. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants right down the street from the B and B, but I chose to walk up to the castle, which was bustling but not crowded in early October. Simple and sufficient breakfast the next morning. Unfortunately I could only spend one night here, but I would love to come back.
thank you for your visit
see you soon
My husband and I spent two nights at Les Florentines, one night in the Florentine room and one night in the Mandarine room. Both rooms have views of Le Cite and were well furnished and very clean.
For us, the location was ideal. It was a short walk into Le Cite and we were able to enjoy a quiet neighborhood street and avoid all of the tourist commotion in Le Cite.
The breakfasts were a bit disappointing. Our table was set and we were served our food which consisted of little boxed cereals of Frosted Flakes and Cocoa Puffs (granola or muesli wasn't an option), a pastry, some bread, coffee, tea and juice. If we wanted milk and/or yogurt for our cereal, Brigitte would serve it to us. Having a protein would have been nice. Also, the breakfast hours started at 8:30 am which was a little late for us.
Brigitte was very accommodating. She recommended a good lunch spot for us in Le Cite -- Adelaide -- and also recommended the bistro right next door to Les Florentines, Le Trivalou, which was excellent and very fairly priced.
Les Florentines was a quaint B&B located close to the medieval fortress of Carcassonne. We were disappointed when we arrived, as the room we were given was not the one featured in photos on the Airbnb website. We were looking forward to enjoying the expansive views of the fortress from the private terrace. The room we had instead was on the first floor of the B&B with limited views and no outside space. That said, the room was clean, roomy and comfortable- just not what we expected. The included breakfast was very good. Brigitte was a congenial and accommodating host, allowing for an easy late check in and arranging a taxi for us when we left.
The location in a quiet street just below the ramparts is picture perfect and only a short walk to visit everywhere. Birgitte welcoming, room spacious and very clean, lots of hot water and breakfast good. No problems finding a space to park the car (September) and had an excellent evening meal in one of the small restaurants near the property. Highly recommended.
Brigitte was very nice and helpful. Although the check in should be between 17:30 and 19:00 I called her the day before to let her know that I was going to arrive later and there was no problem. The only issue was that I did not understand where the parking was, but I was able to park in the street with no problems.
We got the Florentina bedroom which has the nice terrace with the castle view and it was incredible nice. It has a touch of antique but the bathroom was all new. Everything was clean and nice.
In the morning we got a really good breakfast with delicious fresh bread and croissants. The location is great, at 5 minutes walking to the old town with many restaurants near it that are open until 23:00hs.
I would definitely this bed and breakfast if you are planning to visit Carcassonna.
Tout était parfait ! excellente situation, chambre propre et propriétaire sympa.

Nice B&B, very big and comfortable room, great location near the castle.
