I grew up in California, moved to New York after finishing graduate school—and a scientific research sailing expedition in the Equatorial Pacific—, and today am fortunate enough to spend a significant amount of my time traveling around the U.S. meeting entrepreneurs, policy makers, and others working to build a clean energy economy. From Baotau, China to Kiritimati Island to Columbus, Ohio, my job and studies allow for travel to some incredible, and diverse, places. What each destination shares is a small but growing inspiring group of people working to advance renewable energy and energy efficiency for the economic benefits that it is bringing to their communities.
I love Airbnb because of the opportunity it allows for meeting fascinating, intelligent, kind people. You can't really know a place until you meet the people there, which is one reason why Hutchinson, Kansas holds a special place in my heart. I'm pretty laid back and a low-maintenance guest and am looking forward to meeting you.
