Hello Everybody, I'm Daniel , i wish you a pleasant stay in my lovely flat! :-)
Even though he was not able to meet us due to our early arrival, Daniel allowed us to check in before the posted time, which was excellent. The apartment was just as described. Its main advantage is certainly the fantastic location - minutes away from the heart of the Latin Quarter. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes within a two-block radius, and the view from the apartment is onto a pretty, typically Parisian, bustling intersection.
The place is a fairly small one bedroom, but we had no problems with two people (one on the bed, and one on the couch). As mentioned by others, the shower is quite small; however, that's just one issue with an otherwise great spot.
Daniel met me at the apartment, and was a very nice guy; we had a nice talk, and I felt good about the whole experience
Tout s'est bien passé
Dishonest and rudest person I have ever met.
Besides the fact the shower is the smallest I've ever seen, impossible to get in; and the oven not been working properly which caused a little explosion; and the correct number of the apartment been actually never revealed until we got there; and the cleanness not been the strongest point. The host was the worse! He can get really aggressive! It seems he already had some problems with airbnb and had to change the number of the apartment for a wrong one. Very weird. We only spent one night there, no reimburse at all from his side And he also took 260 EUR from us. Not worth it!
Daniel's apartment was perfect. It is small, cozy, perfect for one person or a couple who intends to be enjoying Paris all day. Two things are remarkable: The view and the location. View is amazing and can be enjoyed in the balcony. LOCATION IS EXCELLENT!!!!!! Near everything you want: metro, bakery, restaurants, monuments!!
This apartment is offered at a fair price in a neighborhood with much to recommend it. We were met at the appointed time, and Daniel responded promptly to email queries.
While the apartment depicted in the advertisement is the one actually rented, the address listed on Airbnb and confirmed in the booking documents is NOT the address at which the apartment is located: that building bans short-term leasing of the Airbnb sort. This made for a bit of awkwardness when encountering other residents on the stairs.
Furthermore, the address listed in the original booking was much more desirable because it was further from the noisy intersection this apartment overlooks. With traffic and pedestrians who become quiet only after 2.30, the intersection becomes noisy again around 6.30. If you plan to go in the summer, you will need ear plugs and sleepmasks as you will want the windows wide open at night for a comfortable temperature.
Several problems noted in earlier reviews also persisted in July 2015, such as the fact that the apartment was spottily cleaned. From our arrival, the shower drain was also completely blocked, risking flooding every time and creating a mess on the shower floor as well. Moreover, getting in and especially out of the shower would present a significant problem to anyone with concerns about balance, or to anyone bigger than us (140 lbs.): you must step up and down through quite a narrow opening, and there is no hand-hold. The step is about a foot high (30 cm), and the entrance about as wide.
Worst Airbnb experience I have ever had. I do not want to be rude at all and am still thinking maybe it was just an off experience, but I am a truthful person and want to let others know that I believe there are better places to stay. Throughout my trip through Europe almost all rooms I stayed in weren't exactly how they were pictures, but that's was ok because they were at least clean and the hosts were incredible so that made up for it. Daniels instructions were confusing leading us to the wrong apartment. I had to walk down the street to get wifi and he had given me a different address. When we got in the the place was a mess. Dirty and unsafe with electrical cords running throughout the flat. That wouldn't have been an issue if the toilet or shower didn't leak, but both did. The shower was disgusting I don't like standing when water builds up and doesn't drain as I'm trying to wash up. I killed 3 bugs in the bathroom and the toilet didn't flush. I wrote Daniel a message of the issues and decided we didn't want to stick around to wait because we wanted to enjoy Paris. Getting wifi was a pain also. He said the password was written on the box and there was no such thing it would've been easier for him to tell us which one of the labels instead of going through about 5 long ones. Annoying thing is I would have to stop my vacation and check to see if he wrote every chance I got looking for wifi. He did write back and said he went into the apartment and asked him if I could meet him but by that time it was 2 hours later. When I got back in he said not to use the toilet and to use one outside. The next morning he came over unannounced and that's when he really made us feel uncomfortable. Started questioning things as if they were my fault but good thing I took pictures right when I got there to show Airbnb. He rolled his eyes for every answer I gave him and make us feel really unsafe like we didn't even want to stay there anymore. He made us feel like we had to stick around as well and cut our vacation even that much more off just because of how we came into the flat. We tried looking for another place but since it was last minute everything was booked so we literally tried to stay out of the place as long as we could just be user we didn't feel comfortable sleeping there. His attitude made this the worst pet of my Europe trip and actually made me really never want to go to pros again because it was that bad of an experience. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here just because of how Everything was handled. I do not...
While my friend and I never actually met Daniel, he was very helpful and quite easy to communicate with via text message. The studio apartment was really nice, bed fairly comfortable, cute little balcony with a lovely view - perfect for an aperitif in the afternoons. The apartment had the essentials necessary for our stay and was in a great location - close to a metro station which was easy to navigate and walking distance from many boulangers, cafe's and restaurants. Only issue was water leaking through bathroom quite easily from shower.
The apartment was exactly how it was described. The location was great! Close to the metro and very convenient. Nice restaurants and a grocery store very close by. We really enjoyed our stay in Paris! Thank you Daniel!
Good location in the Latin Quarter with easy access to metro. Simple accommodation and decoration, but comfortable bed and fold-out couch. Shower was VERY small, but everything else is nice!
