The previous guest did not check out in time, and I did everything I could think of try to fix the solution. I do have a full-time job in addition to AirBnb and so I missed the fact that the previous couple had not checked out in time. I knew it was a possibility, but little complications like this happen often with people traveling and I try to stay as flexible as possible.
I spent hours trying to find a good solution to the problem. My uncle was staying with me and actually told me how impressed he was with my handling of the situation, but alas. I wish I knew how distressed Eve and her friends were - I thought we had patched things up just fine. I thought they didn't WANT to go stay in a hotel that late at night.
I ended up refunding the first night for the trouble.
