I'm Julia, a 26 year-old Graphic Designer.
Currently, I live back with my parents in my hometown of Aachen, Germany (like a boss), but I'll head off to Grad School (because you just know that's going to haul in the cash...) in London on the 8th of September.
I am a book designer and illustrator. Which means I read a lot. Like a proper dork. Alongside the Harry Potter books, Conan taught me English. Back in the dark days before streamed web content or the arrival of a DVD player in my family household, the Conan re-runs on NBC europe where my only access to original English content. Well, that and audio tapes at highschool. ("What is this I'm eating, John?" "It's lobster, Hans." "Oh no! I"m allergic to shell fish! Quick, take me to the hospital." or, more frequently: "I have a bike puncture. Can you fix my bike puncture?").
Only 12 years later, I am about to embark on English writing Grad School. Thanks to Conan. Thus, sleeping on the Conan Couch would complete a spiritual journey, and truly set me up for a lifetime of professional success.
.. I can also pull a mean German accent, if that's your angle. Or if you have some open payments that need "settling".
