We have been well welcomed by Dolores.
The room is comfy, with a nice view on the sea, but the heating wasn't functionnig at all, so the room was freezing...
Good breakfast in the morning !
We stayed in Angela and Salvatore's lovely B&B for a few days at the end of December, and as it was off-season we had the whole place to ourselves.
Angela helped us arrange our travel plans from Siracusa to Agrigento, and we were met by Salvatore's daughter at the bus station who kindly brought us to the B&B and showed us around.
It looks even better than the pictures - there's a large main room with two dining tables and a small but well-stocked kitchen. We had the slightly smaller 3-bed room but it was still enormous for the 2 of us and both rooms look out over the edge of Agrigento to the sea. The whole place was spotlessly clean, and the WiFi worked well.
The best pizzeria in town - La Tana de Lupo (the Den of the Wolf) - is a 7 minute walk away, and I can also recommend the Cafe Teatro opposite the old theatre in the nearby square run by 2 young guys who know what they're doing, have great sandwiches and pastries, and also another cafe opposite the train station behind San Calogero church that has homemade pasta dishes and Sicilian cakes for lunch and fast WiFi too :o)
Location wise the B&B is at the other end of Agrigento from the bus and train stations, which took us about 25 minutes to walk. The nearest Piazza or square has a very good convenience store and delicatessen, 3 cafes, a pharmacy and a superb bakery - definitely try the small almond biscuits! There's a small friendly butchers on the left of the narrow street just before the square, he's usually outside having a cigarette, and a greengrocer even closer to the B&B on the right hand side just after the church.
Busses to the Valley of Temples go from outside the train station and the journey takes about 10 minutes. Agrigento was pretty cold in late December, but the B&B has heaters in the bedrooms and main living room, and Angela brought us an extra standalone heater too. Our onward travel plans were cancelled due to snow between Agrigento and Palermo - almost unheard of in Sicily! Fortunately we were able to check back in until the public transport was working again, and Angela arranged for someone to let us back in as she too was stranded outside the town.
Her communication was always prompt, her English is excellent and we got to meet her a couple of times during our stay. She and Salvatore the owner are both genuinely lovely people. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you!

I spent a great night in Agrigento. Angela is very nice, I liked to discuss with her. I recommend her.
Very close to Valle dei Templi! Angela was extremely warm and kind. Had entire flat and terrace to ourselves.
I love the view from the room. Too bad I just stayed there for only 1 night. Angela was so nice and she was full of hospitality. Absolutely I recommend this place for visiting Agrigento. I fully enjoyed staying Agrigento.
Upon arrival to the building, the neighborhood seemed a bit "run down". But upon entering the building, it is very nice! The room was VERY clean, had all linens / towels, modern private bath with shower. The Balcony did have a sea view, although quite distant. Air conditioned too. The neighborhood is quite safe, and you are among the locals.
In the reception area is cooktop, refrigerator, coffee machine.....and seating for breakfasts or a quick meal. We only stayed one night, to visit Valley of Temples.
Angela (host) is wonderful. Very upbeat, pleasant, and willing to advise & help. Her English is very good.
Very warm welcome and friendly from Angela. The house is well situated close to city center and we spent nice couple of days in Agrigento.
The terrace is amazing, and the cappuccino too ;) Thanks again, we had an amazing stay!
Perfect guest! On time. Flat was clean. Good communication. Very nice couple. What should we expect more?
