The inn is a gorgeous, old restored home overlooking the Hudson River. Our room was spacious yet cozy with a nice sized private bathroom. The atmosphere is casual and friendly and we had a chance to chat with some Bard College students who rent rooms at the inn. We had informed the host, Tim, prior to our visit that we are vegans and he accommodated us with a lovely breakfast of oatmeal, fruit and toast. Tim was friendly and engaging. We would definitely stay here again if in the region!
We had a good time at the innski! The hosts were very nice and the breakfasts were delicious!
Another great stay at the Suminski. I arrived Sunday after two nights of family-wedding-induced-lack-of-sleep, slipped into my extremely comfortable and warm bed with down pillows and slept for a rare 11-ish hours. I woke to the smell of breakfast, headed downstairs and feasted on sweet potato hash, fried eggs, sausage and hearty wheat toast with a few cups of strong, excellent coffee. Breakfast conversation with fellow guests - an artist, writer, screenwriter and filmmaker - inspired me for the day. I'll be back!
We had a great stay at the Suminski Innski. Our lovely room overlooked the Hudson - very peaceful and relaxing stay. We would definitely come back!
A wonderfully convenient location to anyone visiting Bard College. Our room at the inn was VERY comfortable and even with a shared bath there was no standing in line! Breakfast was excellent with each person's or couple's being individually prepared. It was cold and wintry when we were there but I can imagine that in the Spring and Summer the large front porch would be exquisite! Tim the inn keeper is the nicest most accommodating fellow one would hope to have as a host.
Beautiful house and comfortable stay!
What a fabulous grand home. Different and wonderous. Enjoyed it immensely. Bedroom was huge and lovely, comfortable. My daughter and I really fell in love with this place (Tim's house and the Hudson River and Tivoli and Bard...) Thank you, Tim!
Tim welcomed us with a bottle of wine that we shared with another couple while sitting on the large front porch ovelooking the Hudson river. The sunset was spectacular the evening we were there, could not have been better.
Tim's house was built in the early part of the 19th century and is being restored to its early splendor by Tim. Our room was large and had a nice view of the river.
Breakfast was a delight. Guest were sitting at a large round table enjoying great bread, Tim's scrambled eggs, fruit, coffee and tea.
We highly recommend the Suminski Innski. Our room overlooked the garden and had an extremely comfortable bed, a welcome retreat after 24 hours in the car. The coffee was delicious and Mr. Voell was very gracious, even offering to feed our daughter who picked us up in the morning. The home was eclectic and inviting. Highly recommended.
We had a great time! Everyone was immediately welcoming including their energetic and fun to play with dog, Kolya. Our room was fully furnished with original artwork and a tuned banjo. The view from the porch was a amazing. Breakfast was served around a large circular table where everyone was able to talk and get to know each other. We would definitely recommend checking out this bnb.
