Mike et sa femme sont très disponible. La chambre est propre, légèrement petite pour 2 grosses valises. Je recommande cette chambre pour un court séjour a New York.
I stayed here for about 8 days with a friend of mine. From the beginning and throughout the trip, Mike was always prompt with his response and was available to help us during the trip. We were a bit late for check in time because we got lost on the trains, but Mike's wife was very kind and waited for us at the apartment. We didn't see either of them again through the trip. The description of the room was accurate, room was large with a big bed and small sofa. It did get quite cold some of the nights and we couldn't control heating (centralized) so I usually wore sweats and socks to bed.
The shared kitchen is great, clean with everything available (microwave, oven, toaster, ironing board)! The bathroom is shared with three other rooms (4 rooms total) so think of it as a hostel style accommodations. On several occasions we had to wait for the bathroom over 1.5 hours because it was constantly in use (both morning and evening), and like any older apartment, sometimes ran out of hot water so we had to wait it to warm up.
The area is nice, lots of small grocery stores, Mcdonalds and Subway sandwiches, the actual Subway is just a few steps away and Line1 is so convenient! Daytime feels completely safe but in the evening it was a bit different. On the first night we got a bit lost and walked down the wrong street, a man in a black van kept trying to talk to us and followed us down half a street, the second night the street next to ours was completely packed with flashing police cars doing a raid or something with garbage bins knocked over and rubbish all over the street, on our last night right outside our apartment, two men were using a tool to try to break a bike lock. Maybe it was just our bad luck, but I wouldn't suggest a female walking around late at night but with a friend it should be okay!
We stayed at Mikes and his wife's place for 5 days and it was the perfect accommodation for our trip to NYC. The apartment is really close to the subway 1 which takes you to Times Square in about 20 min. As you live outside the touristic places you can see other parts of nyc too which is really nice. The room and the bathroom were very clean, the bed comfy and everything else as described. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and provided us a lot of recommendations about what to do in nyc. We felt really comfortable and can highly recommend the room. Thank you!
My first airbnb experience and it was quite memorable, room was nice, clean, and as described. I loved the neighborhood, easy check in and check out. I never got to meet mike but I did meet his sister, the room and apt in general met all my needs. Will definitely stay again next time I am in nyc
The room was exactly as it was on the pictures! I didnt get to meet Mike but I met his wife and she was really sweet and friendly!
The place is really clean, quiet and with a nice view at the riverside! I'll definately choose it also the next time!
I really loved Mike's place, it is very close to the subway station, the area is very good, although the building is pretty dirty esp the elevator. The housekeeper was nice and friendly and showed us around the house. I was amazed at how clean And well-kept the common areas( bathroom and kitchen) were. The room was also nice with good bedding. Recommended!!
I did not interact with the host too much, but he was friendly enough. The room was as advertised, a little small but private and comfy. Good access to the city too.
My experience was great. The place is exactly as pictured and the room is clean to perfection. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials and bathroom clean. The flat has an elevator and on the 1 train it takes about 20-25 mins to get to Midtown. Check in/ out was easy and although I didn't get to meet Mike his family are always on hand to make sure you have what you need for a comfortable stay. I would stay here again without hesitation.
The host was very welcoming, even helped me with my several luggage heavy pieces. The room was quite nice too. It was small but set up in a way that it seemed very spacious. It was a good experience.
It has been a pleasure to have Murat as my guest. He took care of my house like his. I recommend him for future bookings.
Murat and his family are the perfect guests, respected all the rules and follow all instructions also came with their children and left the unit in perfect condition and super clean. Thanks Murat and family and want to come again.
I really recommend to Murat and his family.
Murat and his girlfriend Wendy are welcome back anytime! Very clean and nice guests.
Hope to see you again soon!
Murat was friendly, communicative, and easy to deal with. He left my apartment in great shape after a 5 night stay. I'd definitely recommend him!
He has been in hospitality business for over 14 years. He has worked for good hotels in Turkey and some international, well known like Hyatt Regency. Also he has 3 years experiences in New York and in Utah. He is responsible, well organized and very respectful to his job. He enjoys hosting. I am proud of him.
