My first experience with airbnb. Could have been the last...
We chose this place to stay due to the access to our own kitchen and the fact that it looks like it offers your own apartment with an artsy baba-cool feel and a convenient location. But it's more like a place to sleep at.
We came to the area knowing that there is very good food and produces sold around, and really looking forward to cook.
However it turned out to be not suitable for even the most basic cooking task (The only pan that had a good surface didn't have any handle).
Also the oven was too dirty to cook in it. There was an effort from the owner to have it cleaned, but it turned out awkward because it had such a strong chemical smell inside, there was even a puddle of cleaning product at the bottom of the oven.
The idea of staying in an art studio/apartment is great but we felt that it was poorly executed. Overall, it was far from magical.
We had a great stay, the sauna was amazing and breakfast at C'est la vie in the village was great too! Thanks again!
I spent a night with my friend Olympe. The location is very nice, in a quiet place in the middle of the Nature (its on a small street with a few neighbors), full of snow (was winter). The space is huge, there is a room with toilet, a huge open space with kitchen, fireplace (and a roman bath and a sauna and a table for massages that we didnt use).
We met very shortly Samantha because we arrived pretty late, but she was flexible with the time of arrival and she was waiting for us with the fire ready in the fireplace :)
Fantastic as always! Thanks Samantha!
This is a great, private and peaceful getaway! Samantha is a fantastic host, and made sure I had everything I might need.
The cottage is in a good location, just off the 117 for easy access to Tremblant, close to grocery stores, restaurants and even a movie theatre, but still secluded enough to make you feel that you're away from it all.
I loved spending time here and can't wait to come back!
Response from Samantha:
i loved Samantha and her house!!!
Was exactly what i needed ,perfect getaway from the city.
highly recommended if you are nature lover!!!
We went down for a night. three adults and a couple of kids. Had a lovely time. Lots of interesting walks and scenery in the area Val david is worth a visit. The apartment is cosy and doubles as Samantha's art studio (when no one is staying). Samantha is philosophical about small children and artworks/fragile objects meeting and we didn't feel stressed letting the four year olds loose. There is a trampoline in the garden. Kitchen equipment was minimal, but fine if you bring largely preprepared meals or simple things like sausages it works fine. and samantha lent us the extra things we needed.
It is a one bedroom apartement on the side of the mountain.
Owner is friendly and she practises Art therapy. The living room is full of drawing. By the window you see trees. Behind the apartment, there is a trail going up on the mountain.
