Tammy was a great host, and her apartment was great... Steps away from a Metro stop which ran very frequently... Never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a train.
Her flat was very nice with lots of light, character and charm. I highly recommend booking!
My husband and I stayed at Tammy's place for 2 weeks in December 2012. It's a wonderful studio, very comfortable, with lots of character and very original décor, and nicely located with easy access to the green line and some beautiful walks/parks nearby. Tammy made us feel sincerely welcome, and when we had a lot of issues in the first part of our stay (which were not her fault), she did her best to fix them, though she was across the country at the time. She also gave us a partial refund for the trouble, which we appreciated. In spite of the problems, we truly enjoyed our stay, but I suspect this apartment would not suit everyone. If you like everything new and spotless and perfectly equipped, this place is not for you. But if you delight in older homes with a lot of quirks and you don't mind minor inconveniences (or 3 flights of stairs), this is a really sweet base for exploring the Boston area.
This little studio is really well located, at one minute walk from a T station on the green line and near the Boston University. The decoration is original and the hostess, Tammy, is welcoming, kind and very helpful. She left me a lot of indications about the best places to visit during my stay and, when I had some trouble with the internet connection, she solved the problem about an hour after I complained about it, even if she wasn't even in Boston at that time.
However, I wouldn't recommend this place for long term stay. The kitchen is really small and some basic things are missing there (I had to buy a toaster, for instance). Also, except for the floors and the sheets, the place was not really clean (the shower was particularly dirty) and there was nothing to do the cleaning with (no broom, no toilet brush, no products). Also, the internet connection was extremely slow. If this can be OK in a short term stay, it was a real problem for me, who spent two months in this studio.
I still must say that the large window (which let enter tonnes of light), the well-thought-out decoration and the proximity of all touristic attractions make this studio an interesting place to live for a short term stay, although I would mainly recommend it for a single person, or a couple use to extreme proximity.
We had a great stay during our six night stay in Tammy's apartment. Great safe location for getting into Boston downtown. Just a couple of minutes walk to the green line stop.
Tammy was there waiting for us with the keys and explained everything well and even accommodated a late check-in for us.
She also managed to send us an email with a few go to places even though she was going away herself.
The area around the apartment has some great restaurants and a little park over the street where people walk their cute dogs.
Overall we had a fantastic stay in a cute apartment with a great record collection !

Super cute apartment.
Tammy is lovely - easy to deal with, very hospitable.
I went to Boston for a conference and it was nice to be welcomed by Tammy at her studio apartment. The place is in fact lovely and cosy, it felt like home. Well located, very close to tram/subway that took me quickly to city center. Tammy was a very nice host, and suggested some local places I could visit apart from the turistic sightseeing. It was my first experience with an Airbnb stay and I'm extremely pleased.

We greatly enjoyed having Tammy in our home. She is kind and exceedingly polite; the week she spent here went by quickly. We wish her good fortune in her travels abroad.
