I'm a retired psychologist and my partner David is a retired medical administrator and we're originally from Riverside California (near Palm Springs). Having time and flexibility to travel, we enjoy visiting new places, experiencing new cultures, and enjoying life and all its variety.
As of this writing (Feb 26, 2014), we are finishing a 5-monthlong house-sitting stint on the shores of Lake Michigan and are planning to summer in the Pacific Northwest. We are now 19 months into our "Grand Adventure" wherein we had liquidated most of our possessions through an estate sale, rented out our house, and hit the road. We are choosing to be "house-free" on purpose, moving from location to location using just temporary vacation rentals. With only our van, two dogs, and a few bags, we have been going where whim and winds take us, and enjoying it immensely!
To that end, we're using Airbnb for most of our housing needs. We have stayed at different locales, anywhere from a week's duration up to two months' time, and are always looking forward to the next interesting stay.
As a couple, we are friendly and easy-going, enjoying quiet activities more than big or noisy ones, and we like meeting new people and making new friends. As guests, we will be courteous and conscientious, and responsible toward your space. Our two small Yorkies (Pebbles & BamBam) are well-trained and well-behaved and they too have gotten great reviews from our past hosts.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and responding to our inquiries. Perhaps our paths will meet. My motto? Life is short and precious, and we should all make the most of it, all the time.
