Hi there, I'm Leanne. I'm a San Francisco native. I like dogs. And donuts. And nicely sharpened pencils. I take my coffee black. I'm considerate, consistent, and punctual. An extroverted enjoyer of alone time. I'm always down for brunch. I'm happiest on a blanket in the park with a cheap can of beer, watching the fog roll in.
My vocation is interior design, and it's also a passion of mine. I'm a furniture nut. When I'm not fluffing throw pillows or ogling yet another white ceramic objét for my mantle, you'll find me catching a concert at one of San Francisco's many wonderful live music venues, or shuffling through vintage vinyl at the neighborhood record store. I'm happiest when I'm seated at a fantastic new, buzzed-about restaurant, cocktail in hand, with mouthfuls of possibilities staring back at me from the menu, waiting to be ordered. Food. Is. Awesome.
I live with my partner, Christopher - former Brooklynite, epic music nerd and professional wine-slinger. We share our life with a very special little nugget of fur - Vespa, the 4 year-old Italian Greyhound. She's zoomy, quirky, and was a silver medalist in the Speed Napping category at this year's Super Lazy & Adorable Dog Olympics.
As a traveller, I'm a planner and an organizer. But not an obsessive over-planner. I like to have a rough idea (usually outlined in a lovely, color-coordinated online document) of the spots I must see, must dine, and must experience. Where and when those things fall into place, I usually leave up to figuring out that morning. Chris is the same way, so we travel great together. We're also very organized and extremely considerate when it comes to staying as a guest in someone's home. We make the bed. We fold the towels. Our clothes stay neatly folded in the suitcase, or in the dresser. Keeping things tidy and in place whilst traveling allows for optimum enjoyment of the experience, in my book.
My favorite places on earth include (but are not limited to): Palm Springs, Amsterdam, Brooklyn, Portland, the north woods of Wisconsin, Florence, Paris, London, Seattle, Chicago, the north coast of California, and Santa Fe. And of course, the city by the bay.
I'm not sure I have a life motto - but I'd be really interested in hearing yours.
