Things I like in no particular order: awesome music, terrible pop music, the internet, bicycles, pizza, being my own boss, chocolate, lists, my parents, my friends, living in Philly, delicious beer, cooking, and megabus.

Great, affordable apartment in a terrific part of the city. Close to bus and subway, art museum, and lots of great eats, and the people in the bike shop were awesome too! Thanks Shelly!
Shelly's place was really perfect for our week stay in Philly. We loved the neighborhood and the fact that the apartment had everything we needed to get on in our normal day to day routine including kitchen with all the essentials and a comfortable futon. The apartment was also in walking distance to a park for our dog, grocery stores, laundry mat and many cool shops and restaurants. I'm a writer so I found the space to be quiet and conducive to getting a lot of work done. I could hear the bike store employees from time to time but quite honestly all rather pleasant sounds which I found comforting and whenever I ran into Shelly she was super friendly and helpful. She also offered me a really great rate on bike rentals and made the check-in and check-out process painless! We would definitely stay here again next time we're in Philly.
This place was everything I needed for my Philly Marathon weekend -- clean, close to everything, easy to get to, and comfortable. This was my first time using AirBnB and Shelly was so patient with all my questions. The place around this apartment is rapidly developing so I definitely recommend taking a peek.
My son considered this his "first apartment" and totally enjoyed his two month stay!
Shelly was easy to deal with and the studio was a great place to spend a night, just right for two. Off-street parking was a huge bonus and the studio was cozy as could be. Would stay again no question!
My wife and I stayed in the apartment the night before the Philadelphia Marathon this year. It was a great location close to the start/finish with several restaurants nearby. We walked to the convention center and Reading Terminal Market about 25-30 minutes away. That night walked home in the dark and felt comfortable on all of the surrounding streets.
The studio was everything that we expected. There was plenty of room for the two of us, the kitchen area and fridge was a nice plus. The shower had hot water for both of us. The futon was fine and we didn't need to bring out own towels or sheets. We did bring a comforter just in case it was cool. We didn't care much, but no TV is something to remember when booking this place.
Overall the price and location were great for us to spend a night in the city. Anyone looking for a place to crash while enjoying the city should be satisfied with the accommodations.
I was only in town for one night for an interview, and this was the perfect place for the person on a budget who just needs a place to sleep, shower, and store luggage. Convenient location to get downtown, all the bike shop employees were friendly, plenty of cute neighborhood bars and eateries.
Definitely take them up on the bike rental offer! I had a lovely ride around the Schuylkill with orange and yellow leaves falling everywhere. I would definitely stay here again on a future trip through Philly.
Small but conveniently located place with very convenient key drop off/pickup. Shelley is very responsive to any questions you have.
Great little studio apartment in the eclectic Fairmount neighborhood. Clean and quiet. In walking distance to Whole Foods and the Art Museum, and if you're in for a good stroll, even downtown. Our host, Shelly, was awesome. She answered our questions quickly, and even shared with us a great Philly microbrew!
I would highly recommend this space.
Shelly was coming with her mother. Her mother wrote me to express her disappointment about the apartment. She disliked many things, including the price.
All the subject of her complaint was clearly stated in the announcement.
So I shall advice to make sure that she has read the full description before booking.
Apart from that, they have been very correct guest.
We can write many good tings about Shelly and Johanna but in a few words: just adorable guests! Their short stay in our apartment was a very nice experience for us. Very communicative, warm, friendly, with a very good sense of humor, and for sure very polite! Girls,, thanx for the chocolates,, hoping to see you again sometimes!
Shelly and Joanna are amazing guests! They were so kind and discreet people to have around. And soooo quiet that I couldn't realise when they were here or not. They left me chocolates when they left (so sweet), plus they throw away my garbage. What more could I have asked? Recommended for sure!
