We had a great experience staying here. Pat and Marion were really helpful, especially when our car broke down and they called a mechanic out to fix it for us. Lovely cosy cottage and a warm welcome from the hosts. Would recommend it and hope to return some day. Thanks for the memories!
Ours was a great experience, especially as we celebrated Christmas at the cottage. Pat and Marion had put up Christmas decorations, kindly provided an iced Christmas cake and then presented us with gifts to go under the tree. Then there were supplies of scones and soda bread! Our 9yo was delighted with Paddy and even won over Sue. Try as we did, we did not dent the woodpile while staying very cosy. While no WiFi was at times a limitation and G3 reception for data poor, it inspired us to camp by the fire in the bar of the Kilcoran Lodge Hotel, only 10 min away by car, and use their WiFi in comfort. We found the cottage exactly as described. A very quiet location and ideal for reflective moments, yet only 10 min from Cahir. The Galtee hills are only 10 min away and offer great walks.
Una casa muy acogedora al lado de una granja, muy limpio y ordenado y con chimenea.
This Farmhouse was a beautiful place to stay...surrounded by amazing countryside and with such charm and character itself. Pat was a fantastic host....even going to the trouble of chasing up a relative of mine before I arrived and lining up contact between us! We were greeted by Marion, Pat's wife on arrival and the kitchen table was already set for our afternoon tea...it was lovely...! Our son loved Paddy the horse, the dog and the cats around too....had one cosy night here...could have had more. Great hosts...ktichen well stocked...with juice, yoghurt, milk...etc. Scones and tea on arrival...great. Thank you Pat and Marion.
Pat was a great host and the house was beautiful. It had everything that we needed and the lovely town of Cahir was just down the road. If you want a bit of peace and quiet but with easy access to shops, etc. then this Pat's place is perfect. We would happily visit again and cannot think of anything negative to say about our trip.
Thanks Mark. It was a pleasure having you and Andrea.
Loved our time at Pat's farm! He still greeted us with a huge warm smile and handshake despite some "technical difficulties" with the power. We felt immediately at home and he shared his knowledge of Hurling and gave terrific suggestions for dinner. The cottage was delightful, the scones and carrot cake left for breakfast were wonderful, and the silence of the countryside exactly what we needed. Thank you so much !!
I think it was a big plus that all four had a similar sense of humour, and there was no "language barrier". Thanks for your company.
We had a lovely time staying at Pat's cosy cottage in the countryside. We arrived to a warming fire and homemade cake and scones, which was very thoughtful and most appreciated after our day's journey. It made a great base for day trips, was wonderfully peaceful out in the countryside but still well connected to the motorway so get around easily. We really enjoyed our stay and happily recommend this place to others.
It was my pleasure to host such a lovely family. I hope you enjoyed Ireland.
You were perfect guests.
Pat et son épouse nous ont très chaleureusement accueillis, et se sont montrés très disponibles.
La petite maison attenante est fort agréable, feu dans le petit poêle, table dressée pour le petit-déjeuner.
Hôtes vivement recommandables.
Thank you so much for your kind comments Patrick.
A great place to stay and experience the Irish hospitality.
We only stayed for 1 night but wished we had more time.
Enjoy the fresh air/breeze and chirping of birds at a farm house.
Got a chance to know Paddy (the Pony) and Sue (the dog).
Pat is an excellent host and I highly recommend the farm house for others to enjoy.
Anuj and Poonam,
It was a real pleasure meeting you. Hope all is well.
Pat was an excellent host - he was very welcoming and made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The stove was lit so the house was nice and cosy on arrival. The house was very clean and well equipped with all the essentials such as bread, milk, butter, tea, coffee etc. There was even home made apple tart waiting for us! Our son had great fun playing with Pat's horse Paddy. All in all a very warm and welcoming stay. Thank you!
Pat is the owner of a beautiful farm in South Tipperary. Over the last few years he has kindly hosted a number of international horse clinics at his farm, and has been probably the most warm, kind, friendly and amazing host you could ever hope to meet. I have visited Pat's cottage many times and it really is beautiful. It's very near Cahir town (pubs, shops, supermarkets, Cahir Castle & many other sights) and there are lots of amazing things to do in the area. I'm strongly advise anyone reading this to book this restored Irish cottage and have a wonderful holiday in Tipperary.
