I am a retired teacher and work part-time as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I live in glorious Connemara with my husband Philip who is a semi-retired Careers Advisor.
When not entertaining some of our seven grandchildren we love to walk the stunning beaches and climb the local Diamond Mountain. We enjoy photographing the landscapes, seascapes and the ever-changing skies. Philip keeps fit by walking The Twelve Bens and is also a keen cyclist. I’m not quite so enthusiastic and, even though we have two new hybrid bikes, I prefer getting exercise with my twice weekly Yoga class and with my passion for gardening (Philip cuts the lawns and hedges!). We enjoy music, reading and cooking/entertaining. I have been looking after guests (B & B and visitors!) on and off for many years.
We both love meeting new people of all generations and have done our own share of travelling also – Australia, New Zealand, and many parts of Europe. We like to research our destinations and then to explore the architecture, history, culture and landscapes whilst enjoying the local good food & wine!
We look forward very much to welcoming you to share our home and we are eager to offer help and any advice you may need regarding the stunning sights and activities that are available in this glorious part of the West of Ireland.
