coming soon... work in progress
Dedicated Seattle teacher by school year, world traveler but summer - ok sometimes over winter break too. Love the idea of meeting new people, sharing a meal, laughter, stories. American tables are too big - we sit too far away from each other. Throughout my travels, I have always been amazed and inspired by how easily and graciously people have opened their homes to travelers and am so excited that this is finally catching on in the US! Over the past several years I have hosted and had many people stay with me at my home in Seattle. My home is known as The Cove - named by my friends because it has been a place of refuge during transitions and travels for friends. Some have stayed a few weeks, others a few years.
I am American, but was raised Italian - food, family, and a general passion for life. Trying to live my life with no regrets, taking opportunities as they present themselves, and always seeking the adventure. One of my favorites so far has been an 18 day European cruise / trip with my family: mom, brother and grandma (who was 88 at time and at 92 wants to go again!) Every night at dinner we would sit for hours and listen to grandma tell stories. And then we would all go to the disco and dance.
Hmm... books, hobies, favorite movies? So much.
Two years ago started an organic garden, and wondering about a goat and chickens... it's amazing how big and tasty homegrown veggies are. Current residents of The Cove: 2 Pups and 1 dear fiend. We are both vegetarian, socially conscious, and live very active lives. Though I don't have children of my own, I am Auntie to incredible and amazing young kidos in my extended and chosen family.
