We are a retired couple slowly traveling throughout the world. Originally from U.S. -- Chicago (him) and Pittsburgh (her) -- we married in 1999 and renovated a tiny, old house in a historic neighborhood near the harbor in the city of Baltimore. In 2013 Donald retired from his job selling cheese at Whole Foods Market and Kate quit her job as an IT Project Manager, we rented our house to long-term tenants, and began to see the world.
We try to experience every city we visit as residents, not tourists. We walk through the neighborhoods, buy our food in the local markets, use public transportation, look at the architecture and neighborhoods, and try to learn at least a little about the history and culture of each place.
