Dorine is a great host! Being my first time to the city, she gave me great ideas of places to go and how to get around the city. She is kind and promptly responded to any questions I had. A pure delight.
Such a lovely place in the heart of manhattan..During my visiting everything was amazing.Dorine was so kind to us.Friendly neighborhood,1 minute to the metro (email hidden)ny places that you can find delicious cusine. If i am going to decide visit nyc, i woud definitly want to stay in same place..
Dorine's sweet studio is just as appears in the listing. Comfortable room with a good hot shower and the ability to make breakfast or more at your leisure in the little kitchen. The location is just so special and could really make your stay in New York, it's such a peaceful retreat after a busy day in the city, just across the street from Central Park, a stroll down 87th on to Columbia or onward to Amsterdam to pick a restaurant or cafe (there are grocery stores on Columbia too). The subway is also just around the corner!
Dorine has a great spot on the Upper West Side!
It is a charming and very well maintained studio on a gorgeous brownstone block. Check out the photos. It has the prewar appeal of old exposed brick, with a clean, modern tiled bathroom and kitchenette. It is also a mere block away from the B/C trains. A legitimate block; not the "one block, after you've walked six blocks," you get from typical scummy NY realtors. Very convenient transportation, and of course Central Park West is an easy spot to grab a taxi.
Excellent neighborhood. I hadn't spent much time there in the past, but I had a great time wandering around, shopping and eating, and, well, wandering. Had a great meal at an Italian place called Spiga several blocks away, which does an excellent branzino. I should also mention that Dorine is a half-block from Central Park, for anyone interested in whether or not trees and grass look the same in New York as they do in the rest of the world. (They do.)
Dorine met me at the apartment right on time, gave me the keys and a quick tour, with some tips about the area, and then bounced. She sent a follow-up text message the day I left, and that was about it. Oh, and she gave me a nice review.
Thanks Dorine! Loved the place!
