The place was pretty clean, the area easy to get to public trans. all and all worth it.
thanks for your comment.
It was perfect !!!
Thanks for your comment. Great
I have used Air b and b before, and James was by far the best host I have encountered. He was friendly, gracious, and helped me with all of my needs. He even made me food when I was sick. The house and neighborhood are very nice. And it's a pleasant and quiet atmosphere. I would highly recommend this listing.
Thanks Jason. You are the artist!
James was nice and the bed was comfortable as described, but I was very surprised to learn that they don't provide towels. They said I could buy one if I wanted one. Seriously! A towel is one of the minimum expectations when staying on AirBnB! It was a cheaper place, but I'd still expect a towel or at least notice that there wouldn't be a towel. But there was nothing in the listing that mentions the need to bring my own towel. I didn't learn about this until I showed up. I thought they were being sarcastic when they first told me. I ended up having to use a shirt as a towel.
This would have been a great experience if a towel had been provided. As I mentioned, they were nice and the bed was really comfortable. But it was just lacking in one of the basic expectations of an AirBnB.
James was a great host. Flexible, accomodating, and very friendly. The location of HomeX is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It is a short walk from a main bus line and a safeway shopping center. Inside, its very clean, well kept and spacious. The room I stayed in had a big walk-in closet. There are desks and space in the living areas to sprawl out and get work-done and a back-yard area with basketball! Highly recommended.
Good and comfortable place to stay. People were really friendly and located close to a lot of good eating joints.
The location is central, and the price is stellar. James was friendly enough, but often not around. A compatriot of his was there most of the time, so we didn't have to lock the doors or have to deal with keys. There was Wi-Fi.
I prepaid for a month, but had to leave a lot sooner than I thought I would; I asked to be prorated at least part of the days I was not there, but received no response. The price per day was low enough that even being charged for extra days didn't break me, but while James was within his rights to keep the overage, it would have been neighborly of him to refund it.
A comfortable bed is what it was. There are 4 beds in the room (2 bunk beds), a desk, and a bathroom. The bathroom is shared between all guests, plus whoever else lives in the house will pop in to shower at random times. Pros: great price for the area, access to kitchen and a quiet place to sleep. Cons: the whole house smells like rotting food / cat pee, which was weird because I never saw a cat.
Cool house, with lots of cool guys. Good place to stay for tech people.
Shared rooms, but comfortable, the rest of common areas are spacious and furnished with desks and chairs, there is a place for everybody, it feels like home.
The place was comfortable, clean and silent enough. James was extremely hospitable — he even cooked us food when we were very busy with our project and forgot about dinner :)
The guests was a no show.
James is a very easy going guy and we hope to see him again this summer!
