Great spot and very hospitable hosts!
We enjoyed our short stay at Benoit’s beautiful guest house in Cancun. The room is spacious, and clean, with a little deck and a large and functional bathroom. It’s situated in a beautiful and colorful house. There’s parking in the street, and a great little café around the corner for breakfast. Benoit was a kind host, waiting up for us when we arrived late at night from the airport, and offering suggestions in the neighborhood.
Nous avons passé notre première nuit au Mexique chez Benoît. Bon accueil et jolie maison, la chambre est spacieuse et agréable.
My friend and I are about to embark on an adventure throughout Central America..our stay with Benoit was our first night in Mexico!! We immediately felt right at home!!! Benoit was more than generous and helpful!!! His house is absolutely beautiful and only a short bus ride to the beach!!! I couldn't have asked for anything better!! I only wished we could have stayed more than one night!!!
Lovely spot! Our hosts were helpful and chill. Cheers yall!
Benoit and his roommates were welcoming. We had a little trouble finding the unit, but with some help from a neighbor, we made it. We only stayed one night after staying in Tulum for 5 days - we had an early flight the next morning. The place was simple and clean. The wi-fi signal didn't work in our room so we hung out on the porch when we needed to use the Internet. We asked Benoit and his roommates about their travels around Mexico. Benoit was helpful with any questions we had about the area. The pool seemed to be shared among a few apartment units.
The stay at Sak Nah was amazing! I felt welcome upon arrival, and Benoit was more than accommodating. The house is better than the photos, if you can even fathom that. The architecture is stunning and the room I stayed in was beyond private. It comes complete with a huge walk in closet, a private balcony, and an enormous bathroom. The terrace towards the back of the house was where I spent most of my time--the courtyard below was peaceful, green, lush, and the pool was very nice as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone trying to avoid the craziness of the strip/hotel row! As a single woman traveling, I felt comfortable enough in the neighborhood to walk to the grocery store alone, to catch taxis, etc. Benoit was wonderful with suggestions on things to do, how to get there, and what to expect. I loved starting my vacation at Sak Nah and hope to return soon!
If you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Cancun look no further. Although not on the beach, you are very close to everywhere by a cheap taxi ride. The house itself, as described by everyone else, is gorgeous, minimalist yet homey and warm. Benoit is one of those rare people that has travelled enough and been welcomed in others' homes enough times to know how to make you feel 100% at home. He is knowledgeable, kind, helpful yet never invasive or pushy. The second night we stayed, a large home cooked meal was prepared by us all (well mainly Benoit and another one of his guests) and we stayed up until seven talking, dancing (at least the girls), and just having a perfect finish to our time in the area. We didn't particularly look forward to staying in Cancun itself (we originally had planned no nights there but upon insistence from our very good friends Luis and Maria who said that we would love the place we decided to try it out) but now we definitely have a reason to go back. On top of that, there is a Churrascaria (called Bovino's) that is within walking distance that is absolutely delicious (highly approved by my Brazilian wife). Seriously, if you have the chance of booking a few nights here, don't miss out.
