The apartment was as described, small and cozy, in a residential part of Miraflores but close to many world-class restaurants and the beautiful parks along the beach.
The host was great, there was someone waiting for us when we arrived and we had no problems at all during our stay. The host is very responsive to emails (always within a day).
District is so-so
Listing is accurate. Apartment is located in a safe and convenient district of Lima. Many universities and medical facilities nearby, along with a number of cheap but tasty restaurants.
Luzmila was an excellent host; I didn't require much assistance while living here, but she was very responsive and helpful with the move-in and move-out.
Excellent...un appartement simple, de bon goût et bien tenu.
It was good. Everything was like it was described. The internet connection was good and it had warm water. The apartment was a bit far from the centre, but there was everything near around I needed. I can recommend it.
Luzmila, our host, generously offered us an upgrade to a larger (2 BR) apt. in a better location (Miraflores) when there was a double booking at the studio apt.--at no additional price!! The following is a description of the 2 BR apt. in Miraflores. The location is good--across the boulevard from a mercado w/many nearby "menu" restaurants and a 20 min. walk to a Vivanda supermarket in the upscale Santa Cruz neighborhood. Also a delight was the Malecon cliff-top walkway to the Larcomar Mall--the apt. is located 1 block from the Stadium, which is the northern terminus of the Malecon, a 3500 meter very safe at night walk (lots of walkers, joggers, cyclists, and security with friendly, unarmed foot patrolmen and women!) to Larcomar. Highly recommended during the day, and at night, too! The apt. was as described with lots of natural light and cross ventilation and reliable hot water from a boiler/tank system (good cable TV and WiFi, too), and Manuel, the manager, was very helpful on our arrival--meeting us at the apt., even at 11PM when the flight was delayed. He also walked us around the neighborhood in search of some food at that late hour. In general, we found the neighborhood friendly and safe for foreigners. If you download a copy of the "Rutas Recomendables Lima" (in English and a couple USDollars), you'll have no problems using the "combo" bus system to go anywhere reasonable in Lima.
