Great location in the heart of Greenwich village, close to subway, bars, restaurants and a short walk to Soho or midtown.
Apartment is as it looks on the pictures with a large living area and a small comfortable bedroom. Christine was very available when i needed to contact her even though we didnt get a chance to meet as she was working. Also, NYC keeps you busy enough.
The main advantage about her place is how it is located. West village, literally 40m to washington square and the main subway lines, 15 min walk to union square and many good places to drink\eat nearby (citarella, joe's pizza).
If i had to mention one or two downsides, i'd say that the stove needs to be checked out to see if it works properly. And the cleanup could be done a bit more thoroughly (a lot of dust). Also , the shower is tricky to master regarding water temperature but pressure is very good and the tub is nice to relax after a long day walking.
So overall, if you're looking for a perfect spot to explore NYC while staying in the village and for a great comfort\price\value, and rent from someone who is available but not always on your back, then go for it !
Christine's apartment was great and she was a great host, with quick answers on sms and email! The apartment was clean and shower was ok. The location of the apartment is in the middle of The village, fantastic to explore lower and middle Manhattan. It is only a minute from the vibrant Washington Square Park and I recommend all to spend som time relaxing in the park. Of course there are also a lot of restaurants to recommend. The place next door, Babbo, is fantastic for italian food and for winelovers it is amazing with around 2000 different italian wines. In the neigbourhood and close by I could also recommend Jeffrey's, Wallflower, Buvette and The Spotted Pig. For a trip to Harlem I recommend Red Rooster and in Willamsburg Reynard at Wythe Hotel is worth a visit. Overall I am very satisfied and could definitely recommend Christine and her apartment for your trip to NY!
We visit NY in May spending 1 week in Christine’s house; it was a pleasant experience to live the city staying in the Village. The apt is wonderfully located, well equipped, and well served by local transport; we really enjoy the stay. The area is lived also during the night, but the noise remains at a reasonable level. Definitely, a place where we’d like to come back.
The best thing about Christine's apartment is the location. It's right by a subway entrance and is incredibly convenient to get both up- and downtown. There are also plenty of excellent restaurants and bars as well as good shopping in the immediate area. It's quite a students area so vibey with a good mix of smarter restaurants and cheaper studenty bars and eateries.
The apartment itself is small but comfortable, tiny bedroom but nice central living area and a decent shower. There is a kitchenette which we didn't use. Laundry is available in the basement or there is a same-day service launderette right next door. The apartment in on the 4th floor and street facing so you have a deal with some stairs and street noise, although it is a relatively quiet street.
Christine was a great host and was generous with recommendations and assistance. All in all we were very happy with our choice.
Staying at Christine's place was simply great. The flat was as shown in photos, very pretty and bright. The location is absolutely fantastic. And Christine is nice and really caring. Hope to come again very soon! :)
We spent 5 days in April in Prime Greenwich Village Haven.
Very well located apartment.
It is also convenient.
We have not met Christine, we communicate only by sms. Despite this our host was obliging and gave us all information wee needed.
We have been enjoying our stay at Christine appartment in 120, Waverly Place in Greenwich Village very much. It is a wonderful place in town with Washington Square park near by, shops, cafes and the subway. It made it possible to go around town very easily. The appartment is smal but cosy and very fine for two and we were welcomed with a bite to eat and fresh flowers and as much help from Christine as needed. We would love to come back another time.
Just returned to London after 8 wonderful days staying in this great apartment. It's in a brilliant location, so handy for everywhere with great subway connections just round the corner, and the apartment itself is lovely, very atmospheric with a real "village" feel. Its situation is second to none, with fantastic eateries of all sorts just round the corner (check out Babbo or its cheaper but just as fantasstic sister restaurant Lupa). Christine is really helpful and altogether I would not hesitate to recommend it.
The best thing about this apartment is the location.
The walls and ceilings are painted a very dark grey and with very little natural light and a dark brown wooden floor it feels very claustrophobic. The owners personal belongings are very apparent, the the waste bins had not been emptied.
In my view, this apartment is not suitable for holiday rental
I've had the opportunity to Christine for several years and I can unequivocally say that she is honest, respectful totally non-flakey (a great trait to have in a friend).
I've also rented her apartment from time to time, and it's centrally located, very well-appointed, and clean! Couldn't recommend Christine or her West Village dojo enough.
