I've often been made welcome in the homes of strangers who became friends. I'd like to offer that kind of haven for travelers here. As the Sufis say, the Guest is God.

Susan was our first airbnb experience, and it was wonderful. Susan is a lovely person, with a lovely home and an incredibly sweet, affectionate cat. The space where we stayed was fantastic, and I would definitely stay again. The bedroom is pretty and cozy, and Susan had plenty of food in the fridge, as well as cooking utensils and a coffee maker, which made my mornings!
We had a great stay with Susan. Her place is in a great location and parking was easy. The room was comfortable, super-clean and cool on a hot day, and little extras like water and even chocolates made it feel very luxurious! Susan's home is beautiful and full of character. She was a very welcoming host and chatted with us over breakfast. Definitely recommended.
Susan's home is in a lovely, quiet spot a quick driving distance from town and 20 mins from Omega. The room is spacious, very clean, and with plenty of room for luggage. Water and chocolate by the bed were divine. Towels and toiletries were refreshing. The bed was super comfortable with lots of pillows! Susan really cared for me as a guest. Breakfast fruit was generous! Thank you! I felt so very welcome. I would absolutely stay here again!
Susan's oasis in Rhinecliff is a joy. She is welcoming and accommodating and and her obvious commitment to this venture shows in so many details. Her lovely home is just that, and so much more. I don't want to gush too much or maybe I'll never get a reservation here again, ha, but then again, this delightful destination deserves great praise. Cheers to Susan and to her future guests who will find such nice things awaiting them here.
Susan was very kind and accommodating! The apartment was clean and comfortable with a beautiful outside area.
This is a charming apartment in a bucolic setting. The rooms look exactly as they do on line. The host Susan is very welcoming. She makes sure you are comfortable and have what you need. The pull-out sofa feels just like a bed. There is a nice Keurig coffee maker. Susan also has some local fare for her guests in the fridge. Due to unfortunate events, our trip was cut short,so we were not able to visit the village. Susan's home was warm and lovely and so is she.
An amazingly tranquil place to unplug, a ridiculously convenient drive from Rhinebeck's "main street," and a wonderful backyard that we had no time to chill back in because there was just so much in Hyde Park/Rhinebeck to do. We spent our first wedding anniversary here because we wanted a new experience away from NYC, and it was just a beautiful retreat. We would absolutely love to come back - next time, we might take the train and rent a couple of bikes and ditch the car. Literally a 10 minute walk from a beautiful look out point on the Hudson, where you can just stare at the water while you picnic. Comfy bed, huge and clean bathroom, great custom furniture with very nice design touches, and most of all, nice and cool because its sort of basement-y. We had everything we need, from fresh linens to coffee maker and some breakfast that Susan left for us in the fridge. Wonderful stay.
Susan is a kind, interesting and accomodating host. Her home is unique and clean. The room was just as pictured with a comfortable bed and clean soft white sheets. Susan fed me a delicious breakfast every morning which was above and beyond for sure. I reall enjoyed meeting her; she is a great person and I would gladly stay with her again if I am ever in the lovely Rhinecliff area in future. Her cats Tigger and Lulu(?) are characters, too. Thank you Susan!
Susan was simply wonderful -- as a host and as a person. My mother and I stayed with her and we came away feeling like we had made a new friend and were a little sad to leave! Upon arriving, Susan invited us in for tea and biscotti, and when her friend stopped by, we all shared amiable companionship and good conversation. During our whole stay, she was gracious, warm and inviting, while at the same time respecting privacy. She told us at the outset that if we needed anything or had any complaints to please let her know right away rather than "suffering in silence". Sometimes when you stay in someone else's house you don't feel completely comfortable, but it couldn't have been more different in this case. We felt extremely comfortable and at home, as though she were a friend we were staying with rather than a "stranger". The bedroom itself, while looking a bit plain in the picture, was incredibly comfortable, quiet and peaceful. The mattress is FABULOUS, as are the down pillows and crisp white bedding. There is a skylight for light and air, and we awoke to the delightful chorus of bird songs. Susan's breakfasts were absolutely perfect -- as though we had ordered them specially. It is obvious she enjoys hosting people and attending to all the small details that really make one feel well taken care of! The hamlet of Rhinecliff is Charming with a capital "C" - picket fences, front porches, lovely gardens. There is a lovely hotel right around the corner (walking distance) on the Hudson River for a meal and wine and wonderful sunsets. This is a lovely, romantic place not to be missed! Thank you, Susan! We will be back!
