Giovanni was a very relax host. I arrived late and he didn't complain.
Inside the apartment, the bedroom has a big and very nice bathroom and also a big wardrobe.
He let me use his kitchen and explained me all doubts I had.
It's very easy to arrive at the flat and all the most important places are about 15 minutes walking.
I definitely recommend this place.
Gianni's home was what I'd call "prime location". Sooo close to EVERYTHING you'd want to visit in Florence: Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Pitti, and OF COURSE the Duomo -- just to mention a few. The best thing is, while Gianni's home is a stone's throw away from central Florence, it is in a residential part where you'll easily find cozy restaurants, bars, cafes, and supermarkets. After a day of venturing about the city, it's nice to know your home away from home is so close by. Gianni and his wife, Anna, are just lovely. Respectful for your privacy, but helpful with any querries you might have. One little note, if you're used to large open spaces, you might feel a bit claustrophobic with the size of your room (not to mention the tiny staircase -- fourth floor!) But for me Gianni's home was perfectly warm and cozy and a welcome haven in beautiful Firenze.
Giovanni was a great host who was happy to suggest places to visit and to give directions. I was also able to practice my Italian. The accommodation was as in the picture and the place was close to cafes and restaurants. Will stay there again if I visit Florence. Noel.
giovanni is really helpful. the check in was smooth and he even helped me carry my bags 3 floors up...and when i checked out too, he helped with my bags. the room is cozy and though it was a short stay for me, i enjoyed my days there. the apartment is close to a flea market, and shops, food, supermart, etc. florence is a walkable on foot so i am sure you'll find everything within a walk away. i look forward to staying with him again.
Great room ! Room is clean and in good condition. Exactly same in the picture. It gave me the exact feel of staying in a hotel. The kitchen is free to use with everything are provided for basic cooking.
Giovanni is often busy but he makes sure to give you privacy and happy to answer your doubts if you have any.
Location is good as the neighbourhood is quiet. You can ensure to have a good sleep every night. Will recommend to everyone for short/long stay.
We had a very lovely stay in Florence. The neighborhood is very quiet, the room and the ensuite bathroom are clean and commodious. The bed is a bit little for two - but adequate for a romantic trip.
Realy great location. Everything as in the description. Internet was slow sometimes, but who cares internet when you in Florence!
The listing was exactly as described and pictured. If you are in Florence to look at art, it is a excellent location to be in as you can walk everywhere you might want to go very easily. Giovanni is friendly and easy-going. There were no problems. Accommodations were very clean and the room was quiet for sleeping. Very nice to have the private bathroom.
Giovanni è super gentile e la sistemazione è comoda, a due passi da Santa Croce ed è esattamente come la vedete! Perfetta per una coppia! - Giovanni is a perfect host and the apt is comfortable and cozy! It's very closed to Santa Croce and exactly as you could see in the pics! A perfect accomodation for a couple!
Giovanni's place surpassed all of my expectations. My first experience in a private room and it was perfect. The apartment is well-located, just steps from the Piazza Santa Croce and my favorite little market (with the best (website hidden) sandwich!), San Ambrogio. The area feels local, while being convenient to all sights. When back in Florence, I would definitely look to stay here again.
