If you are looking for a central place for your stay with good MUNI connection, this is it. Everything is within walking distance. Pine St. tends to be quite noisy, but that does not really reduce the quality of the location. Monica is an uncomplicated host although we really haven't had the chance to talk much (I was staying there for a conference)
My stay was great. the bed was very comfortable and the room is nice and large, only suggestion is bring ear plugs. The location was perfect, great coffee shops in the area; Flour+Co. shopping is down the street with great restaurants in all directions.
Monica was an excellent host! Considerate, professional and helpful. The room is perfect for any stay. It's well appointed for tourists with a library of San Francisco guidebooks and comfy bed, but large, clean and professional enough for a business traveller. It was perfectly located for me on my business/tourist trip.
Monica also has the best co-host cats I've ever had the pleasure to stay with. Aside from an occasional sighting I'd never have known they were there, though I successfully lured them out for a pet once or twice.
This was literally the Quintessential SF location and apt! Exactly as is online and as described. The weather was 70's, so with the open windows, I could hear the Trolley bell ring ringing every so often, it was WONDERFUL! Monica was very warm and welcoming, and responded to all inquiries etc. immediately. Recommend this apt. highly. Comfortable bed, clean establishment, close to everything (restaurants, shopping, bars). Cheers.
The reservation was canceled 47 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Great location! I had a great time in San Francisco and having a lovely place to crash made it all the better. Quick walk to Trader Joe's and also over to the hotel where my business meetings were. Everything's convenient from Monica's place. This was my first time in San Francisco and I would highly recommend other first-timers selecting Monica's place. Monica was friendly and helpful, a very good host.
We stayed for a weekend and Monica was very welcoming. Various guides to food and everything San Fran was a nice personal touch. We almost felt we had the space to ourselves though a single traveler probably would have been best.
We awoke to sunshine and the bustling sounds of the city. The space was clean and interesting conversations can be heard out the bathroom window. Everything was as pictured.
Centrally located, this top floor apartment sits just off of Powell, a street brimming with your big name stores to pick up the essentials or drop a few $$ (Walgreens, Sephora, Victoria Secret, Gap). The Westfield and the BART can be found at the bottom of the hill eight blocks down on Market. Prepare for quite a hike for those with luggage. Otherwise the cable car proves a fantastic alternative.
Quite touristy, this place was perfect for us first timers. We appreciated Monica's advice and were particularly grateful foregoing a car rental.
I stayed in San Fran to attend a congress. Because of the tight shedule I had no time to really meet Monica. But everything was very easy and uncomplicated. Monica gave me very helpful general advices by mail. The flat and room is very clean, sunny and central. Moreover the bed is very comfortable. :) I would visit Monica again.
Monicas place is very centrally located, near some main sites in San Francisco. The appartment is sunny and the two cats are funny. The room looks on Pine street which has quite some traffic - so I found it a bit noisy during the nights.
Monica is a friendly and easy going host.
Monica is genuine and very sweet. She was the perfect host. The room was delightful: superb location in the city (just a few blocks from my office in the heart of the financial district) as well as union square where you can shop until you drop! I will definitely come back and stay with Monica if I come back to SF for work!! Highly recommended!!
Monica est très respectueuse des lieux. L'appart était propre et bien rangé.
Je recommande sans problème !
Monica was a great guest . She was really communicative and let the apt really clean.I can really recommend her for her next Airbnb request .
I had the pleasure of hosting members of Monica's family when they came to town for fleet week. Communication was easy and effective and my apartment was just as I left it when I returned. I highly recommend Monica (and her family)!
First, I thank both of you Monica & Bodhi for your stay and being easy going. But isn’t it an attitude that all experience travelers try to be? Our energy exchange with others sometime can make our trip a joyful or irritated experience! I stated clearly on my listing is modest and simple accommodation, by comparison with other vacation rentals on the island, my rate therefore is below “average”; my rate for 2 guests is even lower than yours for 1 single guest (and it’s on Kauai)! I also stated clearly that the bathroom is shared if there’s another guest in the next room (hence I have two listings). The problem is some guests didn’t read the description, but booked by the rates, then disappointed by their above average expectation! I am confused and surprised to read that you felt annoyed by the kid next room, since you weren’t there most of the day, and you said that she’s a cutie and lovely and it was fine. For that I apologize! It was the first, and certainly the last time I accept kid, for $10 extra and got these troubles taught me a lesson! For what it’s worth; I don’t run this as a business, and plan on doing it short term only, that’s why I didn’t invest anything more than the basics.
Monica is a close friend. She's trust-worthy, intelligent, fun, and just an all-around awesome person! We've explored several spots in SF together and will continue to do so!
Monica is one of the coolest people I know! She's down-to-earth and responsible, but still crazy fun. She's friendly, non-judgemental, and very knowledgeable about SF. Can't go wrong!
