Lisa is very nice. We met her outside the marina after some confusion of where to meet initially. This boat is VERY small inside, the lights outside the cabin were not working properly, and don't count on a shower or using the toilet without walking back through the marina to use the Hyatt's bathrooms. I'm not sure why the water tank wasn't filled, this would have fixed the bathroom problem. Overall, it was a fun but cramped place to sleep at night. Lisa was nice, but not very accommodating.
Everything went smooth when staying at Lisa's little boat.
We where 3 big boys who stayed there for 3 nights and we enjoyed every moment of it.
A big plus is the fantastic ammenties available at the marina.
Lisa was a great host. She met up with us at the time of check in and showed us around the Marina. The boat was cossy and in the perfect San Diego location!
We booked last minute due to our rv breaking down. Lisa was very accommodating and the boat was PERFECT... My husband enjoyed the amenities of the marina, having drinks on the dock, and sleeping with the hatch open to reveal the stars. We really lucked out with this one!
Upon arrival, after multiple unavoidable traffic delays, it was evident that our tardiness to meet our host posed an inconvenience.
When we booked/pre-paid for our stay, the amenities mentioned on-board included a half-bathroom. When we arrived however, we were told the bathroom was not functional.
The setting however was as we imagined -- beautiful and tranquil.
It was nice meeting Lisa at the location to get all the information about the boat and marina. She was very flexible about arrival times and responded quickly.
The pumping wasn't quite functional, which required us to walk from the boat to the public restrooms each time we needed the bathroom. But the water view, the marina wild life, access to the cafe, the Sea World fire works every night, free parking, the pool/hot tub/hotel bar and location made the trek to the bathroom competely worth it.
The boat deck made for a spectacular relaxing space, either in the sun or shade. The cabin is definitely small but we enjoyed the coziness. The fridge was working and fit all of our perishables. The bed was very comfortable and all the windows on the boat opened created great air flow when it got hot during the day.
We used the stove to make coffee every morning. There were no kitchen utensils or pots, no paper towels and the kitchen cloth that was provided was dirty. We would have appreciated a simple book explaining the neighborhood, the boat and the benefits of the marina.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience greatly! So happy we found that secret spot!
Lisa's boat was great. I think it fits two people comfortably, or maybe 2 adults and 2 little ones. The bathroom is teeny tiny, but the facilities on the marina were excellent. You've got access to an awesome pool (and poolside bar!) as well as a restaurant. There's also an onsite rental for kayaks, paddleboards, jetskis, etc. Really, you don't have to leave.
The best part about Lisa's boat though, is the fact that you can sit on the boat, drink a glass of wine, and watch the sunset over San Diego bay. It's pretty amazing. Then there's also the amazing view of the Seaworld fireworks. You don't even have to leave the bed, just tilt your head out towards the back of the boat, and you've got a stunning view of the fireworks.
Highly recommended for a "glamping" trip. :) Thank you Lisa!
This was a perfect spot for us. Very unique and a rare opportunity. You won't be disappointed.
Great stay on Lisa's boat! For a cheap fun place to stay I would definitely recommend this.
Lisa was a great host, she took the time to show us around the Marina. Our kids loved the boat and we all had a goodnight sleep
lisa is a kind, clean lady. Although she's here only for 2 days, I have a great time with her.
Lisa stayed with us for a week or so. She was polite, quiet and was respectful of our house. Her dog, Indy, was along for the stay as well. She was a sweetheart. They definitely have our recommendation as a guest. We were happy to have had them stay with us.
