Thankyou Sarah, very helpful on our last night when we had a mishap with our keys - was sorted out straight away. Was a great location, 5 mins to subway which was only about 20 mins from times square. Very cosy place!
Sarah's apartment was just perfect. I got into town late and mt Sarah no problem to get the keys and hung out for an awesome game of jenga. She gave me lots of info about the neighborhood and really made me feel welcome. The apartment was super clean. The bed was really really comfy and the house was well stocked with fluffy towels and kitchen stuff in case you feel like cooking. It is really close to Essex market which is so great but there are so many excellent restaurants in the area you don't need to cook at all. I loved my time there and would highly recommend the apartment and the host. Next time I am traveling to New York I will check to see if Sarah's place is available again .
Sarah's place was great - I arrived into town extremely late and she made sure to get me the keys with no problem at all. Her place is wonderful, especially for the price. It has a great backyard area, plenty of room and a great ambiance. All in all a great few days that I'd recommend highly.
We had a great stay! Lovely area with nice restaurants and bars. We got the keys from Sarahs friend Andrew, who was a really nice guy. Unfortunately the wifi did not work, due to the storm, caused some problems, but not Sarahs fault.
The apartment was clean, decently stocked, in a pretty good area. close to lots of different trains so it's pretty easy to get around.
overall, i don't really have any complaints! wasn't really anything spectacular, if you're looking for a fabulous getaway this probably isn't your place; its definitely function over form, but having said that, it functions quite well :)
for being in a pretty busy area, especially late on the weekends, the apartment was quite quit: easy to get a good night's sleep. the little courtyard in the back is nice for a few drinks before going out. and best of all the apartment is on the first floor! don't have to worry about lugging your bags up a few flights of stairs.
overall sarah was a helpful and responsive host.
We had a great time in NYC, location close to subway, nice neighborhood. Apartment isn't big, but then again which place is in NYC, my wife and I didn't have a problem. Didn't venture out to the Gazebo, was a bit chilly.
On arrival Sarah had mistakenly taken the front door's key, we couldn't leave till she came back and left the correct key, mistakes do happen to all of us, no beggie.
With a few minor touch-ups could get a 5 start.
I was greeted by Sarah telling me what her prior guests were. After I left to let Sarah finish cleaning the apartment (The place was clean and the is the ONLY good thing to say about it) I went back to find a broken window that would not stay up. The instrument I was left with to hold the window up was a jagged piece of wood. The "glorious Gazebo" is a wooden make shift wall less hut in a depressing moldy concrete ally type yard . It was not safe to sleep with window or door open. There was no ventilation and as you left the apartment the stench of trash hit you in the nose. The front door lock was broken. The wifi was slow as anything and forget it if you have AT and T. NO cell reception.
I left 5 days early and Sarah REFUSED any refund at all. I wasn't even asking for ALL of the five nights to be refunded; just $500 of it. I had to pay for a hotel after sleeping there for 3 nights. AIR BNB was no help either. I'll stick to (website hidden).
Very nice host, well equiped apartment and very convenient location!
We had a problem with the keys of the apartment and she set it up straightforward. Also, she makes us a refund of one night for the inconvenience caused. We really had a fantastic time!
Wonderful guest, very clean. I would have them back anytime!
we have not seen sarah. it's Andrews who greeted us.
the apartment is dusty: Beware allergic but the linen was clean.
the apartment is well located, 5 min walk to the metro and a direct line to JFK airport.
to party or restaurants, the distrct is perfect.
This apartment is in a great location with all the nightlife, shops and restaurants you could need. Pretty good size and space for NYC, with a really cool outside area to sit. Sarah was really accommodating with our check in around 1am and she left some beer, milk etc for us which was very sweet. Lovely big bed and really peaceful apartment. Would recommend to anyone.
