We had a great time at this place! We were there for 5 days altogether. When we arrived Kieran was so friendly and kindly lit the fireplace for us. The barn was very clean with excellent amenities! The rooms were very comfortable and one of them is a bedroom ensuite. Although there was not much to do within walking distance we found the location excellent for everything else! The host was very accommodating - offering us even milk so we can have tea when we arrived. And we will definitely be coming back when we visit Ireland again! Can't wait
When I first came to the flat after the family has left, everything seemed fine. But then I started discovering all and it wasnt only one little thing... I am not a 5 star hotel to provide everything for use that is in my flat. I normally live here myself and thats why I cannot move everything out. I have a personal relationship to my flat and that is why I feel really bad now... The guests were just using everything they found - the toiletries like Listerine, eye cleaning pads, tampons, my expensive Loreal cream, my hair comb, went through my cabinets and drawers to find the shampoes themselves instead of asking me. 20 eggs from the fridge disappeared as well. My decoration stuff like holiday souvenirs and candles were moved around. The biggest shock was afterwards when I was still trying to find where the weird "urine" smell comes from, I found out that it was not from the toilet, but from my new couch!!! All the half smells so badly that you can smell it from 2 metres distance. Not only on one spot but all over the couch!!! And there is a hole torn in the middle of the couch fabric. If I have to buy a new one, it would cost me over 1000 EUR..... Because it cannot be fixes with the same one... Now I am desperately waiting for a professional company to get the smell out of the couch before my next guests arrive later in the afternoon... I hope they will manage to do something about that. Accidents can happen but this was not an accident, I was communicating with the guests during my stay and they had million of chances of telling me something was wrong and they should have sorted that out before they left and not leaving the flat with the "couch disaster" without a single word, money compensation or at least apology...
